It was only around seven in the morning, and many drugstores hadn't yet opened. Shen Shuci, anxious and panicked, rushed out only to find that two drugstores were still closed. Then she suddenly remembered there was a 24-hour pharmacy nearby so she ran there, slippers slapping against the pavement, attracting quite a few stares with her frantic demeanor.
"Welcome." The duty chemist, a woman in her forties or fifties, sized her up as she jogged in, sweat beading on her forehead and her clothes hinting at an emergency. "Young lady, what would you like to buy?"
"Do you have pregnancy tests?"
"Uh?" The chemist was obviously taken aback. The first transaction at dawn was for a pregnancy test? "Yes, we have several brands, and also pregnancy test papers. Which would you prefer?"
She brought out seven or eight different boxes and laid them in front of her. Shen Shuci, not knowing much about these products, was unsure which was good or bad. "I'll... take one of each."
