Inside the watch store
Shen Shuci didn't understand watches. Money was never an issue for the Shen family, and the elders had provided her with so-called luxury items. For example, when she came of age, the old lady had bought her a pair of expensive high heels. She slightly bent down, eying a watch inside the counter—worth several hundred thousand—but she really couldn't see what made it worth that price.
Outside, she was really clueless.
"If you find something you like, I can take it out for you to have a look," said the employee on duty at noon, smiling at her.
"No need, I'm just looking around."
Inside the glass counter, the lights cast a thin halo on the watches, making them look high-end and imposing, but also faintly projecting the shadow of a person.
People were moving around in the shopping mall, and Shen Shuci didn't notice someone approaching from behind.
