Also due to his profession, he cleaned up the tools quickly and neatly; even his vegetable cutting technique was familiar and fluid, making her clumsy attempts seem infinitely worse.
"What were you planning to do with these ingredients you bought?"
"Scrambled eggs with tomatoes, braised eggplant in oil, and braised fish."
He glanced at her and then cast his eyes down to the fish on the floor...
His expression clearly said:
With your skills, braised fish?
Shen Shuci coughed lightly and looked down, "I'm really no good at cooking."
"There's no rule saying women must know how to cook."
Shen Shuci felt somewhat astonished upon hearing this. He seemed too domineering and possibly a bit chauvinistic, the type who might prefer a homely, virtuous wife. She hadn't expected he wouldn't care about those things.
