The car finally stopped in front of the hotel. As Alice Robinson got out, perhaps noticing her delicate appearance, the taxi driver kindly held up an umbrella for her.
Alice smiled at the taxi driver as the hotel attendant approached with another umbrella.
A swarm of reporters followed the hotel attendant closely.
The taxi driver was stunned by the scene.
The hotel attendant respectfully said, "Miss Robinson, thank you for coming."
Alice maintained a gentle smile, graceful and charming.
The reporters searched around Alice but didn't see the expected stately figure, prompting them to ask, "Miss Robinson, isn't Mr. Robinson coming?"
"We received word that Mr. Robinson would accompany you to this charity banquet tonight."
"Yes, Miss Robinson, why isn't Mr. Robinson here?"
One question followed another, making it a bit overwhelming for Alice.
Fortunately, the hotel's security was excellent, immediately blocking the reporters and creating a path for her.
