"Christine, eat a little more. I've noticed you've lost a lot of weight since you came to New York..."
During lunch, Mrs. Geoffrey spoke fondly while serving Christine Quinn some food.
Christine Quinn picked up her bowl and hurriedly said, "That's enough, Mom. I'm trying to lose weight lately. If I eat this much, it would be a waste of my efforts..."
Mrs. Geoffrey frowned, "You're this thin and still trying to lose weight?"
"Grandma, Mommy says girls look prettier when they're a bit thinner." It was Marie who spoke, having just put a bite of food into her mouth.
"But you can't be too thin..." Mrs. Geoffrey said as she pushed a bowl of soup towards Christine Quinn and remembered to serve one to Rebecca Quentin as well.
Christine Quinn could only smile and accept, even though she really had no appetite.
Mrs. Geoffrey cheerfully looked at her two daughters-in-law and suddenly asked, "By the way, where did Howard and Oversky go for lunch?"
