Chester paused with his buttons, looking at Alice, "Haven't you always wanted me to treat you coldly like this?"
Alice stiffened upon hearing this.
Chester continued buttoning his shirt slowly, "At this time, you're not in New York with the man you love most but have come to me instead. Isn't it because you're in trouble and want my help? In other words, if it weren't for needing something from me, why would you voluntarily seek me out?"
Being caught by Chester, Alice felt a bit guilty and moved in front of him, her attitude having turned a full 180 degrees. She reached out to hug Chester, looking at him with innocent-looking wide eyes, "Are you still mad at me for being with Howard Geoffrey?"
Chester allowed Alice to hold him, glancing down at her, "Did I misjudge? The usually so proud 'Miss Robinson' would throw herself at me like this."
Alice's eyes were glistening, "Brother, I really need your help. Please don't be so cold to me, alright?"
