The absent-minded Rebecca Quentin did not respond to the head nurse.
"Miss Quentin..." the head nurse called again.
Only then did Rebecca Quentin snap out of her daze and put down her phone, awkwardly accepting the porridge the head nurse handed over, "Sorry."
"It's alright, drink up while it's hot."
"Thank you."
After the head nurse left, Rebecca Quentin stared blankly at the porridge in the bowl.
She, with no appetite at all, originally wanted to force herself to drink the bowl of porridge, but after taking a sip, the bitterness that spread in her mouth made her unable to drink anymore.
The image she saw on her phone lingered in her mind, and she dazedly placed the porridge on the bedside table. Perhaps in her trance, she didn't realize she hadn't placed it securely, and the entire bowl of porridge fell to the floor the moment she let go...
