"Alright, we won't go to Y City. We'll stay in New York."
"It's me staying in New York, not us." Rebecca Quentin calmly met Howard Geoffrey's deep dark eyes, "You're Mr. Jones's brother. How can it make sense for you to miss this celebration party?"
"But I'm not comfortable leaving you alone in New York. Even if I don't attend the party, you can come with me to Y City."
Rebecca quickly shook her head, "It's inconvenient to travel with a child, and you'll be back in a few days. I promise you, I'll stay obediently in the apartment, and I won't let Andrew and myself be in any danger."
Howard's expression was somber.
Rebecca turned around, stretched her arms to wrap around Howard's neck, and cooed, "Will you promise me, please?"
Howard didn't speak, his dark eyes narrowing even more into a line.
