Upon hearing Howard Geoffrey say this, Rebecca Quentin snuggled in his arms visibly paused. She slowly lifted her head, looked at him, her tone slightly hesitant, "You... you've decided?"
Howard Geoffrey said seriously, "Being with you is already a fact, I have to tell her sooner or later. Since I have to say it sooner or later, let's say it sooner!"
Rebecca Quentin slightly furrowed her brow.
Howard Geoffrey noticed the change in her expression and asked with concern, "What's wrong, are you worried about my mother's attitude towards you?"
Rebecca Quentin gently nodded.
Howard Geoffrey then laughed and said, "Fool... with me by your side, what are you afraid of?"
Rebecca Quentin lowered her eyes in dejection, "You know, your mother doesn't like me and won't possibly accept me."
