Back at her rented house, Rebecca Quentin remained uneasy.
She knew Howard Geoffrey would come looking sooner or later, and she couldn't leave even if she wanted to. She was trying to figure out a way to handle him, but she still didn't know what he was truly planning.
Sure enough, he came again in the evening.
Christine Quinn had no choice but to let him in, so he went straight to her room.
Rebecca Quentin opened the door; she initially thought it was Christine Quinn. Seeing him, her body froze, completely unprepared.
"So, you plan to keep it from me, and raise the child alone?" he started with a question.
"Yes, I'll do my best to give the child the best life."
At that moment, Howard Geoffrey noticed the room was filled with baby pictures, each baby in the photos was adorable.
