Chapter 140 - Flauros(DxD/WC)-3

"Your new peerage member seems talented." My uncle said as he looked at Haku, practicing ice magic by creating sculptures. "Kind of surprised you reincarnated him with a knight piece instead of a bishop."

"Haku has talent in physical combat too." I defended my decision before taking a sip from my tea. "Not to mention I would like my peerage members to be as well rounded as possible."

"A wise decision." The Satan of technology department said with a smile before taking a sip from his tea.

"So, any reason for your sudden visit?" I asked nonchalantly and Ajuka raised an eyebrow at me.

"Can't I just visit my nephew, the only child of my beloved sister, in order to see how he's doing?"

"Considering the amount of work you have in your lab and the fact that you are not obsessed with me like some of your fellow Satans are with your family, I think it's safe to say that this is not a social visit." I said with a roll of my eyes and Ajuka smiled at me.

"You always were smart." A rather high compliment from a man that likely saw those of average intelligent as close to monkeys. "I'm here to give you this." He said as he handed me an envelope.

It was a rather beautiful thing, black with blue lines creating several different symbols. Wouldn't surprise me if some human declared it to be a work of art and gave it a ridiculous value.

"In a week the Sitri family will hold a party for their daughter's birthday. It is about time you interacted with your peers." He said, his face not changing despite the sheer hypocrisy of his statement, and I started to think about it.

Honestly I had not thought much about Sona Sitri before, my thoughts had been more focused on the Gremory family due to the fact that their elder was trying to steal my lands, but she could be a useful ally. Sure, one could claim that she wasn't that bright due to declaring that she wouldn't marry anyone who couldn't beat her at chest and made it a requirement for engagement; but she was actually one of the smarter devils in our generation with only Seekvaira Agares being a true intellectual rival to her. But...

"Why are you giving this to me?" Shouldn't a normal messenger be enough? My uncle was a fucking Satan for crying out loud.

"...Serafall bugged me to give it to you, something about wanting to make sure you got the invitation." He admitted with a sigh, making me wonder what exactly could the Satan of Foreign Affairs could want with me. "I'll see you later, call me if you need anything." And then my uncle left the building via a magic circle.

"You seem quite fond of him." Asako said as she walked towards me.

"He is my uncle, who just happens to have great political and personal power, what's not to like?" I said with a smile as I leaned back in my chair, thinking.

Sona Sitri, she was supposed to be friends with Rias. Meaning she was close to the Gremory family, so they would be there too. Sirzechs would be there too. I had yet to meet the red haired Satan who wanted what belonged to me but this party, where there would be lots of witnesses, could be a good first meeting spot. But first...

"Time to find another one." I opened a portal that led to outside of the DxD universe, the trip shouldn't take any more than a day or two, and jumped into it.

"Get away from my daughter!" Huh? It normally took more than a meeting before people told me that.

It seemed like the multiversal travel program of the Company had a sense of humor, seeing as it had put me directly in front of a family of three consisting a blonde father, a blonde daughter and a brunette mother. All of whom were standing away from me huddled together, the reason likely being the huge magic circle, even though it was in the shape of a triangle, carved on where I was standing.

Though for some reason the daughter seemed to be rather hopeful when she looked at me, which likely meant that she was the one who had carved the triangle and wanted something.

Well, might as well do this.

"You dared to summon me and now you're telling me to stay away? You are a rather fickle mortal aren't you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and the man glared at me, yet his eyes were full of fear. "Do you even know who I am?"

"Flauros." The girl said, ignoring the warning looks her parents were giving her. "You are Flauros, the great Duke of hell!" She said as she walked closer.

"Daphne!" Her mother tried to pull her back but the girl simply forced her way out of her grasp.

"Huh, you are somewhat informed at least. Though rather than Flauros, I am a Flauros. The original was my ancestor." I said and looked at the girl. "And you were the one who summoned me."

"I am." She nodded before she was pulled back by her father who stood before her protectively.

"Do not go near him Daphne! Do not get into the triangle!" He said as he glared at his daughter but then turned to me with a confused expression as I started to chuckle.

"I am sorry to say this mister but..." All of their eyes widened as I stepped out of the triangle. "...I am not going to be playing by those rules today."

As I looked at their frightened faces, I found myself getting a small amount of understanding of the old Satans. Messing with humans was just so fun.

"Well, I am waiting, what have you summoned me for?" I asked with my arms crossed over my chest and my foot tapping the floor impatiently before the girl, Daphne was it, spoke up.

"I... I am Daphne Greengrass." Huh? "And I wish for you to heal my sister."
