Chapter 123 - Sea of Monsters(One Piece/WC)

AN: This is a story inspired by the Waifu Catalog but the main character or the summoned waifus have any idea about it. Just think of it as a CYOA with some crossover characters.

"My, this is quite impressive." I could not help but mutter as I looked at the terrain in front of me.

It was a beautiful scenery; full of trees, grass, rivers and other similar nature things. I'm sure that the people of my former world would have loved it.

Yes former world as I had found myself in the world of One Piece about a week ago with many memories that did not belong to me and a rather useful power that I deemed as my 'cheat'.

"Can you stop trying to act like you care about the scenery? It's super creepy." And I also had ended up meeting with this beautiful lady with long brown hair in a lab coat.

"Don't be like that, Shoko." Whom I had recognized as someone who definitely was not a part of One Piece the moment she gave me her name.

"Come now, that's just harsh." I said with a laugh as I put my hands behind my head.

"Be glad I am merely harsh after that disgusting traveling method of yours." The medical jujutsu sorcerer said with a sigh before pulling a pack of cigarettes out of her pocket and put one cancer stick in her mouth before her hand went back to her pocket for a lighter.

"Allow me." I said with a smile as I pointed my finger towards her and a small beam came out of it, hitting the end of the cigarette and lighting it.

"Using an innate technique to light a cigarette, maybe you actually are useful; Shun."

"You flatter me." I said with a smile and opened my mouth to continue our delightful conversation before the sound of thunder reached our ears.

There hadn't been any clouds just five minutes ago.

"Wanna check it out?" I asked with a grin and Shoko sighed.

"Sure, why not?"

————————

"Surrender yourselves!" It was official, Thalia Grace hated this day with a passion!

Seriously, the last thing she remembered before waking up on a weird island was getting surrounded by more monsters than she would bother to count as they wanted a piece of the daughter of Zeus and she was pretty sure that she had felt one of them actually get a piece before she blacked out. Then she woke up on this stupid island with weird people who were either too tall or too short or had weird shaped heads.

But the real problem had been all the other weirdness. Like the fact that people around here used Hades damned snails for long distance communication, and it worked. Then there was the fact that they claimed that the whole world was made out of seas and islands. Which probably meant that she was in the Sea of Monsters, the very sea that Odysseus sailed centuries ago, and the people were the locals; which explained why none of them knew of America. Yeah, that must be the reason; or at least that was what Thalia told herself to keep calm.

After about a week, she ended up getting kinda used to the island. Which was a bit concerning since her plan was to leave the island. Though she could admit that a part of her was... not afraid cause Thalia Grace feared nothing, but... agitated whenever she thought of the sea. Her uncle that had control over the underworld already had been sending monsters after her for being born, she did not want to know what the uncle who commanded the seas would do if she were to get onto a boat.

So, she had been spending the last few days trying to think of a way to get off the island without getting on her uncle's radar but then another new denizen appeared on the island. This one had not actually been that weird compared to most others at first glance. She was kind of short and the white hair and dark skin combination was kinda unusual but she seemed nice, even with that weird bunny ear hat. Then Thalia realized that her so hat was no hat as she witnessed the girl's ears twitch and turn, which was followed by the revelation that the new girl had a temper when she kicked a guy through a wall. Though admittedly, the bastard deserved it; trying to get handsy like that.

This little incident then had lead to Thalia finally seeing the local law enforcement that she had heard a few times. The marines. She was somewhat underwhelmed by their boring white and blue clothes but she could see that they were disciplined. But they also seemed to be somewhat bastard-like since they tried to arrest the new girl and did not even allow her to defend herself on the account of her being 'obviously a beast'.

And that was when Thalia decided to interfere; cause she technically was supposed to be a 'hero', even if the meaning of the word 'hero' among her 'family' was somewhat different compared to most.

"Hey, thanks for jumping in. Even if I don't need it." The bunny eared girl said with a scowl on her face, looking ready to jump and start kicking within a moment's notice. Which was far less impressive than Thalia's stance with a spear and her Aegis keeping the bastards in bay, a few of them even ran away.

"Didn't seem like you didn't need it, but you're welcome anyway." She said as she twirled her spear, concentrating deep within herself in order to summon the most well known phenomenon of her father's anger. The look in the bastard leading the other bastards made her feel like she was going to need it, along with the huge sword on his back.

"Name's Rumi by the way, Usagiyama Rumi."

"Thalia Grace."

"My soldiers, let these two know what it means to go against the justice of the World Government! Show them the might of the marines!" The leading bastard yelled as he pulled the overly large kitchen knife from his back and was about to charge at them while swinging the huge metal weapon, if it was not for the sound of clapping suddenly echoing through the town.

"Wow, that was quite a speech. I didn't think people actually did speeches before battles, isn't that interesting?" The one who had been clapping walked towards them and Thalia had to admit that he was what one would call a fine specimen.

He was about six foot five, or maybe even six foot six, with short black hair and was wearing some sort of black robe. It kinda reminded of some sort of samurai movie that woman had watched once.

Yet she simply could not appreciate the view. This man... she had met gods before, they had a certain feel to them that could sometimes be felt in their demigods too; the strong ones at least. And this man, he felt like what she imagined a demigod of some sort of disaster god would feel like!

"Really, you seem to be the type to make speeches though." And he also had a woman with brown hair in a lab coat of all things walking beside him.

"What I do is showmanship, this guy actually is fanatic enough to make a speech."

"Enough!" The leading bastard yelled as he pointed his sword at them.

"I don't know who you are but if you even think about interfering in our act of justice..." The bastard's bullshit was cut as the man before him blew araspberry, of all things to do!

"Man you're boring. You're probably the most caricature marine I could meet around this place." He said with a shake of his head, uncaring of the murderous glare he was getting.

"My name is Dōman, Sangha Dōman." He said with a smile as he clapped his hands together. "And here's another name for you, the name of the one who will drag you to hell." His smile took a more sinister feeling and the shadows around him started to bubble as something started to rise from it.

"Katen."

It had reddish black skin and a face that was akin to some sort of ogre like man with long fangs and goat like horns curling around his face. It also had four arms with each of them holding an axe and hair made out of fire.

"Bye bye." The man, Dōman, waved with a smile as the monster took a deep breath before breathing out a huge torrent of fire; engulfing the marines that had been threatening Thalia and Rumi with a flash.

"The hell?!" Thalia heard Rumi yell from beside her but her attention was fixed solely on the monster that seemed more powerful than any other she had faced and the man that had commanded it.

She... she felt something she could not describe about it.

"Whelp, definitely one of my more dramatic first meetings." The man said as he walked towards them with that lab coat woman by his side, a cigarette between her lips, while the monster melting into his shadow.

"Now then, I believe this is the moment where we all are supposed to say: 'Nice to meet you!'"
