Victor Morgan saw the scene behind them and stopped the car. It had been a close call, but they had made it through. Thankfully, he had only sustained minor injuries, and Vera Warner was unharmed.
A moment later, Damon Larson and Special Assistant York led the other Hidden Guards and rushed over to Victor Morgan, bowing deeply.
"We're sorry, President Morgan. We were too late. It's our fault you were so badly injured."
"Enough. Go and gather all the evidence. Tyson Vance and his people are definitely behind this. I'm going to make them pay dearly."
"Yes, President Morgan. But first, let me take you to the hospital."
Afterward, the Hidden Guards under their command split into three teams. One team took Victor Morgan to the hospital, another went to collect evidence, and the last one stayed behind to clean up the scene.
