Vera Warner's life couldn't be more comfortable these days. With Mrs. Ellison and Lydia Ellison managing things over in Aethelgard, she had nothing to worry about.
There were even fewer problems here at the Wesley Warner Group headquarters in Aethelgard, as all the markets and sales channels had been successfully established.
Besides, with Victor Morgan watching her back, who would dare to pull any tricks? After all, the cautionary tale of Leo Vance from Aethelgard was plain for all to see.
The great City Lord of Aethelgard, the local powerhouse, had fallen at Victor Morgan's hands. Who else would dare to make a rash move?
Just then, Vera's phone rang.
"Hello, Vera? It's Ian. Are you busy right now? If not, I'd like to treat you to a meal."
"Ian! Of course. I'm not busy right now. Where are you thinking? I can just head over."
"Let's go to the Apex Hotel, then. It's close to you."
"Okay, I'll head over right away."
