The others saw the exchange, and an awkward silence fell over the room as the atmosphere turned icy.

Just as Mrs. Morgan was about to head to the kitchen with the housekeeper, Vera Warner called out to her.
"There's no need, Mrs. Morgan. I've already bought all the groceries. Please, let everyone try my cooking today."
"No, no, you should go rest. You just came all the way back from Aethelgard; you must be exhausted. You don't need to trouble yourself with something like this."
"It's okay, really. I'm not tired at all."
In the end, Vera Warner and Mrs. Morgan went to the kitchen to cook, with Violet and the housekeeper helping them.
