This put Vera Warner in a difficult position. She looked at Victor Morgan pleadingly, but Victor simply looked back at her and raised an eyebrow.
Vera was frantic. 'Why is this man teasing me at a critical moment like this?'
"Um… Uncle, Auntie… what I'm saying is true. Warner Industries is just starting out and we're preparing to expand. We're incredibly busy right now, so we really can't free up a Vice President position. Please understand."
"Besides, the company isn't just mine. I started it with Mrs. Ellison, so I'd have to discuss a major decision like this with her."
"But please rest assured, as long as Jay works hard at my company, he can definitely get promoted."
Vera could only bite the bullet and speak up. From the look of Jay, she could tell he was no saint. But since that guy Victor wasn't helping her, she had to handle this on her own.
After hearing what Vera said, his great-aunt got worked up. She shot to her feet and huffed.
