After packing her bags, Vera Warner returned home with Victor Morgan. The whole way, Victor held her hand tightly, wanting to give her a sense of security.
"President Morgan, Madam, you're finally back. I'll get your luggage. Please, come in."
The butler greeted them enthusiastically. Seeing Vera return, he could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"Butler, take the luggage inside. We have something to do."
"Yes, sir!"
After speaking, Victor Morgan swept Vera Warner into his arms, gently placed her in the passenger seat, and drove toward Lockwood Manor.
But Vera, sitting in the passenger seat, had no desire to go to the Lockwoods' home. She didn't want to see those two people again.
Victor Morgan caught the displeasure on Vera's face in the rearview mirror and spoke up.
"It's alright. I'll be with you this time. You have to face them sooner or later, so what is there to be afraid of?"
"I will make them answer for what they did to you."
