Only after arriving at the wholesale market with Vera Warner did Violet understand why Vera would go so far out of her way to buy groceries.
The wholesale market was a cacophony of voices, with an endless stream of people making deals. It was incredibly lively.
Moreover, the market was vast, far larger than any other food market in Aethelgard.
Although Violet didn't know much about the quality or variety of the produce, she could tell just by looking that everything on display was exceptionally fresh. The sheer number of options was almost overwhelming.
"Yep, this is the place. Let's go. We have to buy a lot this time, since we came all this way."
"When we get home tonight, I'll show you what I can do. You can have a taste of my cooking."
After saying this with a smile, Vera Warner linked arms with Violet and they entered the wholesale market.
Violet was a little caught off guard by Vera's sudden gesture.
