Victor Morgan was, of course, well aware of the shifts in Aethelgard's market. To celebrate, he had prepared a lavish candlelit dinner for Vera Warner, wanting to give her a proper reward.
He had left the Morgan Group early, purchased a host of fresh ingredients, and spent the entire afternoon preparing everything, all to give Vera Warner a surprise.
It just so happened to be the weekend, and the two little ones, Luke and Zola, had already been taken to his parents' place by the butler. Tonight was destined to be a night for just the two of them.
Still, he felt a pang of guilt toward Luke and Zola. He and Vera had been so busy lately they hadn't had a chance to properly look after the children.
Once this busy period was over, they had to take them out for some proper fun. Otherwise, their little hearts might be hurt.
Sure enough, the moment Vera Warner walked through the door, she was touched by the sight of the room filled with candles and the romantic dinner set on the table.
