It was already a miracle that Luke was able to call back at a time like this. Regardless of who this couple was, getting the children back safely was the only thing that mattered.
Vera quickly replied, "Okay, okay. Mommy will make arrangements right away. We'll be ready to reward your saviors. How's Zola? Was she scared?"
Zola shouted from the side, "Mommy, I'm not scared! The man is very nice. He's about to drive us home now. The lady got out of the car to take a call. She'll be back soon."
The siblings' sweet words made the man happy. In their minds, the more compliments they paid, the bigger the reward their "saviors" would get.
Vera finally breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing her children's voices. At least she knew they were safe for now. It was a blessing they hadn't been taken by Ron's men.
"That's wonderful. Mommy's waiting for you."
As Vera spoke with them, she was also tracking their location. She discovered they weren't far—only about an hour's drive away.
