Faye Lockwood's voice trembled, a clear sign of the fear in her heart. She knew what kind of man Victor Morgan was. After what she'd done, he was bound to be furious.
But she felt there was no turning back. She was afraid that once she handed Luke over, the man would come after her.
"Faye, don't be nervous. I'm here. Let me handle everything. Trust me, I won't let you get hurt. Just pull the car over, and we can talk this out slowly. These are all my men here. Victor won't show up."
Ian Lockwood had to calm her down to get Faye to stop the car and bring Luke back, hopefully before any other accidents occurred.
Hesitation was written all over Faye Lockwood's face. Even though she wanted to stop, her hands wouldn't obey.
