"I'm saying you cannot dictate what happens to her, elf! The princess is not your wife!"
Adam's eyes flared a vivid shade of purple, and dark Aztec-like markings spread visibly across his forehead. Vivian and Maria stumbled back in shock when an invisible wall of compressed air suddenly surged outward, forcing them away from the elven prince and Ella.
"I will not allow anyone to take Ella away from me," Adam said coldly, his glowing eyes drilling holes into the two nosferatu women. "You are no longer welcome here. Leave."
"Be realistic, Adam!" Maria shouted, pounding her fist against the invisible barrier. "How long do you think her husband will stay away? You have no army, and no kingdom to rally behind you! You cannot keep her from him, and neither can you keep her from her people!"
Suddenly Maria staggered backward, clutching at her throat with both hands as her face paled.
"What is going on…?" Maria rasped as she struggled to breathe.
