For all free people knew (I did) that their was still cruelty.

Let me tell you what happened before I became 'free'.

First of all the white man raised taxes with glee
Then he would smile, a smile so oily
Saying since we could now work, we should give generously.
'For of course they didn't treat black as the minority'.

Second of all they split white and black respectively
The black of course got everything 'black' everything flimsy
So all darker skin would navigate fearfully,
For everything unstrong was given to the minority.
As we all know, Black was the Minority.
