Chapter 122 - Friends

...

Suppressing the chills all over my body, I strongly concluded that Celesta was just being a worrywart.

I just have to meet her and tell her that I'm okay. Yeah... just have to do that. M-Maybe I will do that later?

I must apologize to Nihara for yesterday.

Oh, God. I had hurt so many people these days... just what have I been thinking??

I need to get a grip on my affairs. No meaning in making my loved one hurt.

Getting down from the bus, I soon walked towards our building and began to find Nihara.

There were still half an hour before the lectures began, so I had some leeway to do that.

But, where is she now?

...

Nihara walked out of her car as the rest of the bodyguards saluted her while driving away. She knew that some of them would be hidden in the area to observe her at all times.

Pulling out her phone, she tried to check for the latest messages.

Unfortunately for her, nothing new had come.

Sighing while dropping her shoulders, Nihara hoped for the best as she made her way towards the first Lecture's hall.

Some students hated that not every lecture was in the same hall, while others praised the arrangement, giving more customized subjects to choose from.

Nihara honestly didn't care either way. She just hoped to be able to see her dear friend today.

Even if there was an hour left before the first lecture began, many students had already arrived, hoping to spend some time with their friends.

As Nihara put down her stuff and waited for Carene to arrive, three girls began to nervously peek at her as they chattered amongst themselves.

"Hey, you go and tell her!"

"W-Why me?! What if she ends up hating me??"

"You two, why are you quarreling about it? Let's all go together!"

"B-But, we are not normal, you know? You know what they all say about us, right?"

"So what?! That's all in the past now. If we ourselves don't move on from all that, how would anyone else forget about it??"

"Uuu... but, everything of ours has been seen and sampled by almost everyone by now. I-I don't have the confidence..."

"You two... come with me!"

"H-Hey! Don't pull on us!"

"Let go! You stupid, brutish woman!"

While hearing the growing commotion, Nihara saw three ladies approaching her. All three of them had different styles, but they were all beauties.

To the left was an orange-red-haired beauty with black eyes and huge breasts, around an H-cup, and she was dressed in a lazy way. Her face was red for some reason.

On the right was a dark-blue-haired lady with blue eyes who gave off a conservative and calm aura. Her breasts were average in comparison, around D-cup, while she was dressed in a proper way.

The last one in the middle, a blonde-haired lady with her long hair bound up in a bun. Her green eyes gave off a sense of oppression, while her body felt like being in a state prepared for a fight, like an arrow pulled tight, ready to be released. Her breasts were a good E-cup-sized pair.

Nihara was confused about why the three had come to her. As she kept on pondering about it, the middle one, the blonde-haired green-eyed beauty, suddenly spoke to her,

"G-Greetings, Miss Nihara~!!"

""Greetings!""

The other two soon repeated after her. By then, the whole class was looking at Nihara's way.

Feeling a little flustered, Nihara stood up and whispered to them,

"Come outside if you wish to talk. I-It's embarrassing here!"

Bringing the three confused-looking girls with her, Nihara found a remote corner before she spoke,

"Now then, did you want something from me?"

Nihara had spoken just that, and she was instantly barraged by a bunch of questions.

"H-How are you so strong, Miss Nihara?!"

"Those guys... why did they run away from you??"

"Didn't you know how dangerous they were?!"

"What is the secret of your strength?"

"Do you like milk or coffee?"

"What are your three sizes~?!"

Nihara was stunned and exasperated at their statements, especially the last question almost made her doubt life.

'Why would someone be interested in knowing that??'

Keeping that thought to herself, Nihara calmly answered,

"I don't know. I was prepared to be taken away by them, but they ran away instead. It's better if you ask those guys instead. By the way... who are you three?"

Soon, Nihara found the answer to that. Similar to herself, they had been cum-dumps for the orgy group before being discarded.

Hearing their past stories, filled with tragedies and despair, Nihara found her own eyes watering, with tears almost dripping down her face.

They had some strange misunderstanding that she was a mighty and terrific person who could drive fear into the hearts of their bullies.

Nihara wasn't able to resolve that misunderstanding, so she let it be. Instead, she was more concerned about something else.

"A-Are there others like you? Those that have been... treated that way before?"

The blonde-haired girl nodded and answered her,

"Yes, there are. If I am not wrong, then other than the current three cum-dumps of the orgy group, there are around ninety ex-cum-dumps on the campus from the first to the fifth year."

"S-So many??"

It was the first time that Nihara found out how many others had suffered like her and how big the net of despair really was at the institution.

Regardless, Nihara had some other concerns as she quickly asked,

"Then... what do you all do about those... um, w-withdrawal symptoms?? They can't be suppressed that easily, right?"

The girls looked down in guilt as the blue-haired one replied,

"W-We still buy them... discreetly. Only taking them... at home."

"W-What?!!"

That was when Nihara realised the problem. These unfortunate girls didn't wish to shame or trouble their parents in fear of damaging their reputation. Hence, they could only keep buying costly and harmful drugs to suppress the withdrawal symptoms.

Feeling extreme pity for them, Nihara's eyes became filled with resolve as she spoke,

"Can you three... reach out to those ninety girls? I-I can offer them discrete treatment at a place I am familiar with. Your identities would remain confidential and the entire cost will be paid by me."

The orange-red-haired girl exclaimed with concern,

"You can't! The total cost would be an astronomical amount! A-And, the girls won't accept free pity money!"

Nihara smiled gently at them, recalling her own past troubled state as she spoke,

"No worries. I have no shortage of money. Besides, the money won't be free. A no-time-bound, zero-interest debt that all of you could pay me back anytime you can. That way... you would be treating yourself with your own future money. Isn't that acceptable?"

Hearing Nihara's logic and explanation, her will to genuinely help them without any malice or deceit drove the three girls to tears.

They silently shed tears as they stood there while swearing loyalty to the kind soul in front of her.

After regaining their composure, they exchanged contact with Nihara and promised to spread the word as far as possible, to which Nihara happily obliged.

As the three began to happily chirp around her, Nihara spotted someone standing some distance away from her.

'Miss Carene?!! S-She came at last!'

As Nihara waved her hand to greet Carene, Carene responded in kind and waited for her to finish her talk with the girls.

The three instantly became curious about the new stranger, as the orange-haired one asked Nihara,

"U-Um, Miss Nihara... who is that person over there? Are you familiar with her??"

Nihara gave the three the biggest smile that they had seen from her so far, as she simply spoke,

"Yes. She is my dear friend. Carene. Later then, you three!"

And with that said, Nihara happily skipped over to her dear friend's side, leaving the three girls utterly confused about what had just happened.

Seeing the happy aura around the two, the three of them reacted in their own way.

"S-So sweet~!"

"Such warmth..."

"So jealous..."

...

As Nihara walked closer towards me after separating from the three beautiful ladies, I couldn't help but ask her,

"Hey, Nihara. Sorry about yesterday. I just... forgot to update you. Please forgive me. Also! Are those three your new friends?"

Nihara waved her hands to ease my worries as she replied,

"No worries, Miss Carene. It's alright. I am happy that you are here today. About those three... yeah, they are kind of like my friends. I just met them today, though."

S-So fast?! Is making friends this easy??

No, it's Nihara who is an expert on that! Maybe it's her hidden talent?

"Amazing! Congratulations, Nihara~! You are not alone anymore, right~? And here I am... I don't have any other friend but you. Others in our batch are not even qualified to be called human beings."

Nihara lowered her head as I couldn't see her expression, but I heard her as she spoke,

"T-That's right, isn't it..? But... I'm glad."

I couldn't understand what she said. Oh, well. At least she forgave me.

Only if Celesta forgives me this easily, too...

Walking back with Nihara towards our next Lecture's hall, I diverted my attention to properly study for once.
