Chapter 32: The All in One Hero

While running through the panicking crowd—
"It's all right! Calm down! Please don't push! Everything's fine!"The police were desperately yelling while trying to evacuate people, but it was futile.
"Move away!"A fat old man shoved past a woman holding her little daughter.
"Kyaah?!"
Before they could fall, I instantly appeared beside them and caught them in my arms.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" I asked gently with a smile.
The mother's face turned slightly red as she looked at me."I-I-I'm fine! Thank you for saving us," she stammered.
I turned to glare at the man who bumped into them. Grabbing his collar, I lifted him effortlessly with one hand.
"Pay attention to your surroundings! You almost hurt these two!"
"The city's under attack by villains! Who wouldn't be scared?!" he retorted while struggling.
"They already said everything is under control! Are you even listening? Pro Heroes are here and fighting the villains. Just evacuate calmly!"
"Uuuugh! I can't breathe!"
I let go of him, and he dropped to the ground.
"If you do something like that again, I'll drag you back inside. Stay calm and follow safety procedures. Understood?"
"Hieee! Yes, I'm sorry!"He ran off in a panic.
"He wasn't listening..." I muttered.
"Wow! Onii-chan, you're so cool! Are you some kind of hero?"The little girl looked up at me with bright eyes.
"Nope, just a passing civilian." I patted her head gently.
"Gyaaaah! A monster?!"
I heard a scream nearby.
"Sorry, I have to go. Please evacuate to a safe place quickly."Leaving the two behind, I spotted a white Nomu standing on top of a car.
"Kyaah!"
Some Pro Heroes tried to restrain it, but they were pushed away with ease.
Rawr!The Nomu roared and rampaged.
I was conflicted about stepping in.
Father, don't get involved in this incident! I know you want to help the heroes, but your abilities must remain hidden—for now. Your subordinates are still preparing. Don't waste their efforts!Roboco warned me through the earphone behind my ear.
"I know..."
I've already contacted Grandpa. He's on the way. Just give them a few minutes. Don't cause more trouble for yourself.
"Tch! Good grief. Such misfortune..."
I hadn't brought any of my gadgets—Roboco insisted I leave them behind for the sake of our long-term plans. She was right. Our technology must remain a secret until we're ready to take down the HPSC Chairman and the other higher-ups.
Looking around, I saw people in distress—A little girl crying in the middle of the road, separated from her mother.A suited man writhing in pain from a debris injury.An elderly couple struggling to evacuate.
I realized that I could help—just like when I was still Captain Falcon.
"I don't want to risk exposure... but I'll do what I can as a citizen."
I ran toward the injured man, noticing his leg was broken.
"Uuugh! My leg!"
"Don't worry, I'm here to help. You'll be okay."
I helped him lie comfortably and reassured him."Hang on! I'll call for medical help, all right?"
He nodded. I used my coat to cover his body.
"Roboco!"
Already called them. They're coming!
"Nice."
Then, I saw the Nomu toss a car toward two Pro Heroes. It missed them—but it was flying toward the little girl.
"Sh*t!"
I sprinted, grabbed the girl, and rolled out of the way.
Crash!!
I barely avoided it.
"That was close..."
"Mei-chan!"A woman cried as she ran toward us and hugged the girl.
"Mommy!"
"Ma'am, please evacuate."
"Thank you, sir! Thank you so much!"
"Yeah, hurry now. Get out of here."
The woman left with her child in a rush.
I turned to see the medical team arrive and assist the injured man. More Pro Heroes joined the battle—then suddenly—
"Ha ha ha ha!"
(...That idiotic laugh...)
From above, All Might descended and kicked the Nomu hard.
Bam!
"I am here!"
The crowd erupted in cheers.
"It's All Might!"
When he saw me, he gave me a thumbs up. I just turned away and waved.
(I get it... I can't use my abilities here. The Commission would arrest me. I have to be patient.)
Father! Several villains just escaped into the underground sewers—they're carrying two children! Hurry!
(No idea what they're planning, but I won't let them get away.)
"What?! Where are they? Give me a possible route!"
Calculating... follow my directions!
"Okay!"
I sprinted along the street, found a manhole, and jumped in.
I ran through the sewers at high speed, turning sharply at each corner per Roboco's guidance. My phone flashlight lit the way.
Just a little more...
I heard footsteps up ahead.
Go right!
"Okay!"
As I turned, I heard children crying.
"Mama!... Help me!"
"Shut up! Stop crying, you pipsqueaks!"
"Waaah!"
"Damn it! Mirko and Ryukyu ruined everything!"
I scowled.(I have to stop them before Kurogiri can teleport them away.)
White lightning crackled around my body as I channeled electricity into my left hand. The sewer lit up with flickering sparks.
I spotted the enemies—three Nomus, one carrying a boy and girl—siblings, it seemed. Ahead of them was a masked man.
Before the largest Nomu noticed me, I thrust my charged hand into its back.
"Lightning Edge!"
"Ugh..."
It collapsed.
"What?! How?!"
I dashed forward, snatched the kids from the Nomu's arms, and knocked out the other two with high-speed punches.
Peeeww!
They dropped.
(One had a defensive quirk—it's been nullified.)
The masked man groaned.
"Get him!"
Two Nomus lunged.
I set the children down behind me.
"Stay behind me."
They clung to my back.
I molded lightning into the form of a beast and hurled it at the Nomus.
"Lightning Hound!"
The electric wolf darted forward and electrocuted them until they were charred.
They fell.
Finally, I turned to the frightened man.
"P-Please! Spare me!"
Just then, footsteps echoed in the distance.
"You're lucky I'm not the one punishing you."
I kicked him in the chin and knocked him out.
Turning to the children, I smiled and patted their heads.
"Farewell... Stay here and wait for help, okay?"
Before the flashlight beam reached us, I sprinted away into the darkness.
"I found the children!"
