Chapter 4: Underground Masquerade

On the road to Osaka,
I was riding my bike at incredible speed while All Might ran alongside me.
The two of us were competing to see who would arrive first at the chaos caused by villains rampaging in the city.
"All Might, can I ask you something?"
"Oh? What is it?"
"Why are you carrying a pillow?"
He glanced down at his arm.
"Ah! I forgot! I was just about to sleep when they called me out!"
...
"Anyway, let's save as many people as possible."
"You shouldn't. You don't have a hero license, Captain Falcon. Pro heroes are likely already there, and they might try to arrest you."
"Well, I wonder if they can. The fact they summoned you to handle this mess shows just how useless they are."
"Captain Falcon... you're really terrible sometimes."
"Hurry up. I think he is involved in this. He'll escape if we arrive too late."
"Who are you talking about?"
"You'll know soon. I have my own intel in the shadows. I won't let a big fish like him escape."
...
All Might fell silent.
We arrived at the scene at the same time.
"Ha~ Ha ha ha ha! Ha~ Ha ha ha ha!"
All eyes turned toward us, lighting up with hope.
"It's fine now... Why? Because I am here!"
All Might made his signature entrance with a grin.
"All Might!"
"Wait, isn't that—?!"
When they noticed me beside him—
"Captain Falcon?!"
"What?! All Might and Captain Falcon together?!"
"The two best heroes are here!"
"Those villains are screwed!"
I parked my bike on the sidelines.
"We don't have time! All Might, I'll leave this area to you!"
Smash!
All Might punched a villain, instantly knocking him out.
"Where are you going?"
"Like I said, I've got a bigger fish to catch."
"Bounty hunting?"
"Haha! Yeah, you know me."
I dashed away.
Smash!
Another villain down.
Running past the rampaging villains, I saw them destroying everything in their path. It was senseless.
They were all wearing masks.
Mind control?
Following their trail, I arrived at a parking structure connected to a shopping district.
More masked villains were pouring out of the building.
I frowned.
"All for One... I finally found you."
I charged at the villains, leapt into the air, and ignited my right foot with flames.
"Falcon Kick!"
Thud!
They went flying, crashing into cars and the pavement.
"Captain Falcon?!"
Police surrounded the building, but I ignored them and rushed inside.
I reached the underground section of the building.
Three people were fighting a large, hooded monster.
They all wore masks.
Two were bulky men. The third was a girl in a school uniform.
I couldn't recognize the men, but the girl...
Her powerful legs stood out. She had dark skin, red eyes, muscular limbs, long white hair, and rabbit-like ears. A small white tail completed her resemblance to an albino rabbit.
When they noticed me—
"Captain Falcon?!"
I turned to the hooded monster.
"No mistake. That's a Noumu."
"Ha ha ha ha! Finally, a worthy opponent! Come fight me!"
I stepped forward.
"Captain Falcon, be careful! Our opponent is—"
"I know."
The Noumu lunged. His jab stretched unnaturally long—
Peeeewww!
I caught his fist with my right hand.
"What?! My strength...!"
I yanked him toward me, nullifying every quirk he had.
Then I dashed forward and delivered a flaming left uppercut—
Ugh!
The Noumu staggered.
I followed with a fiery overhand punch shaped like a falcon.
"Falcon Punch!"
Boom!!!
The Noumu crashed through walls, engulfed in flames.
"Wow! Nice punch, brother! That was amazing!"
The big man laughed. He had long, light brown hair, rugged clothes, and plated gloves wrapped in sports tape.
"Name's Rappa. Nice to meet you, Captain Falcon."
Another man stepped forward and removed his mask, flashing his pro hero license.
"Captain Falcon, I'm Iwao Iguro—the Pro Hero High-Speed Hero: O'Clock. I infiltrated this place."
"Oh... I see. You guys should get out. He's coming for me."
"What? I'm not scared."
The bunny girl spoke up.
Suddenly, black mist formed.
A man appeared—pale skin, short white hair, piercing red eyes. He wore a dark suit over a white shirt.
His presence made everyone freeze.
"All for One..."
"Captain Falcon. You've been a thorn in my side for years—arresting my subordinates for bounty. While All Might is busy, I'll deal with you."
"Underestimating me? You'll regret that."
The bunny girl stood tall.
"You're not a pro hero, right? Call me Mirko—that's my hero name."
Despite her trembling, she didn't back down.
"You all need to retreat. He's not someone you can face."
All for One raised his palm. His arm bulged—
Boom!Peeeewww!
I nullified the blast with my right arm.
Mirko and the others stared in shock.
"So... you can nullify quirks. You and the Symbol of Peace... such annoyances."
I rushed at him.
"Falcon—"
"Tch!"
He jumped back. The ground shifted into a wall.
Crash!
I punched through it.
He appeared beneath me, palm at my chest.
Boom!
I twisted to dodge his shockwave—just in time.
Boom!
A hole blew through the ceiling.
"Gu hahaha! You can nullify quirks with your right arm, but your body is still vulnerable. I've found your weakness."
"Well... who cares?"
I struck him with a flaming punch, but he blocked with hardened arms.
"Don't forget I'm here, old man!"
"Let's beat him up!"
Mirko and Rappa attacked from behind.
Rappa threw rapid punches.
Mirko kicked him in the head.
"Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora!"
"Take this!"
"Get away from me!"
All for One unleashed another shockwave.
"Ugh!"
"Aaaahhh!"
I caught Mirko. Rappa crashed into Iguro.
"I'm not done yet!"
Mirko tried to stand, blood leaking from her side.
"Iguro-san, get them out."
I handed Mirko to him.
"What about you?"
"I'll face him alone."
"Wait! I can still fight! Let go of me!"
I patted her head.
"Mirko, your time will come. You're still a student. Someday, you'll be a great pro hero—like All Might."
I turned back to All for One.
"Even if something happens to me, someone will inherit the will of fire."
Cringey? Maybe. But convincing enough.
"Captain Falcon..."
"Go!"
"Then I wish you the best of luck!"
Iguro ran with Mirko.
"Captain Falcon! Promise me you'll come back! Or I'll kick your ass, got it?!"
Once they vanished—
Sigh
"Yare yare daze. What an unruly girl..."
I grinned, flames bursting from my right fist.
"No one left to interfere. Let's finish this, All for One."
"I'll send you to hell, Captain Falcon."
His arm bulked up again—this time spiked, bladed, and twisted with multiple quirks.
We charged.
"Falcon—"
"Die, Captain Falcon!"
"PUNCH!"
Boom!
Our fists collided—my nullification clashing with his arsenal.
"Eat this!—Huh?!"
Something hit my chest.
"Ugh!"
I coughed up blood.
He fired a sneak attack from his other hand.
Not enough to finish me.
I leapt and kneed him in the face, lightning surging—
"Knee of Justice!"
"Arrrgh!"
I followed up with a blinding flurry of punches.
"Falcon PUNCH!"
BOOM!!
He crashed through multiple walls.
"Ugh..."
When the smoke cleared, he was still standing.
"I don't have time. All Might is coming..."
He grinned.
"Gu hahahaha!"
"What's so funny?"
Black mist swirled behind him.
"Kurogiri?"
Boom!Boom!Boom!
Explosions rocked the building.
"Goodbye, Captain Falcon—What?!"
I dashed forward and yanked him from the portal.
"Let go of me!"
He tried to use his quirk, but my nullification stopped him.
"Kurogiri! Hurry!"
BOOM!BOOM!
The building began collapsing.
"All for One! Looks like we're going to hell together!"
"RAAAAH! I won't die here!"
I threw him upward and unleashed everything I had—
"FALCON... PUNCH!!!"
BOOOOOOM!!!
A bright light engulfed everything.
"Ugh..."
"Hey! There's a boy under the rubble!"
"What?! Is he okay?!"
"He's safe! Not a scratch!"
"How?! This was the center of the explosion!"
"Who cares! He's alive!"
I opened my eyes, blurry vision making out two figures.
"Leave this to me..."
"All Might?!"
He lifted me gently, carrying me like a father would.
As we exited the ruins, he stopped and looked up.
"I'm sorry, my friend... I was too late."
"Huh?"
Crowds wept at the rubble.
All Might placed me down. Medics took me to an ambulance.
Reporters surrounded him.
"Farewell, Captain Falcon. You may rest in peace."
"Huh?!"
Wait. What did he just say?!
