Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

"Peggy once said," Ada began thoughtfully, glancing at Jack, "that during World War II, you were kicked off a plane by Captain America. You should've died back then."
Jack simply shook his head, his expression calm but carrying a hint of amusement. "Not necessarily," he replied. "You have to understand something—this is a Movie World. And Movie Worlds follow certain laws."
Ada frowned slightly. "Laws?"
Jack nodded, raising a finger. "Three laws, to be precise. First, each Movie World is independent. It doesn't interfere with the Real World. Second, different movie universes don't interfere with each other. And third…" he paused briefly, "…when multiple movies share the same worldview, the interference between them is minimized."
Alice tilted her head. "The first two are easy enough to understand," she said. "But the third one… what exactly does that mean?"
White Queen's eyes flickered faintly with green light as she processed the explanation. "Same worldview," she said slowly, "like Iron Man and Captain America. They exist in the same universe. So even if events in Captain America involve large-scale destruction, it won't drastically affect Iron Man's storyline."
She paused, then added, "Which also means—even if Jack disrupted certain events in Captain America, it doesn't necessarily mean the future events in The Avengers will change too much."
Ada nodded slowly. "So Captain America… might not be dead."
"Exactly," Jack said, a faint smile forming on his lips.
"White Queen," he continued, turning toward her, "check S.H.I.E.L.D.'s data. They should have records on him."
White Queen nodded slightly, her gaze unfocusing for a moment as she accessed the network. "Found it," she said after a few seconds. "Two years ago, S.H.I.E.L.D. recovered Captain America from the ocean. He was frozen in ice."
Alice's eyes widened slightly.
"After defrosting," White Queen continued, "his body recovered, and he woke up. From his perspective, it's like he only slept. But in reality… seventy years have passed."
Jack chuckled softly. "So we get to see the good old Captain America again," he said, his tone almost nostalgic—but the smile on his face was anything but warm. "I really miss the days when I fought him."
Ada crossed her arms. "I think he's more interested in killing you now."
Jack shrugged indifferently. "Back in WWII, I was only slightly weaker than him," he said. "But now… the gap between us is far too big."
Alice smiled faintly. "If you hadn't injected that serum back then," she said, "you probably would've died in Captain America."
Jack didn't argue. "History doesn't deal with 'what ifs'," he said calmly. "What matters is that I'm still alive."
As he spoke, he casually pulled Alice into his arms, his hand naturally resting where it shouldn't. Alice stiffened slightly but didn't push him away.
"Can't you behave yourself?" she said helplessly.
Jack grinned. "Do you really think that's possible?"
Ada laughed softly. "That's like asking a wolf to become vegetarian."
To their surprise, Jack actually let go of Alice this time. His expression shifted slightly, becoming quieter, almost reflective.
"Maybe I could," he said. "Schemes, killing… it gets tiring after a while."
The room fell silent for a brief moment.
White Queen raised an eyebrow. "That doesn't sound like something you would say."
Jack suddenly smiled again, the previous moment gone as if it never existed. "Which is why," he said, clapping his hands lightly, "I've decided we're going out today."
"Out?" Alice and Ada asked at the same time, clearly surprised.
"Shopping," Jack said casually. "We'll change our appearances, go out, get some fresh air. We can't stay cooped up here forever."
White Queen's eyes glowed again. "Understood."
A soft green light swept across Jack, Alice, and Ada. Their appearances subtly shifted, becoming completely different people.

In the garage…
A sleek green supercar sat waiting.
As they approached, a familiar voice suddenly rang out, almost on the verge of tears.
"Boss! It's you! You finally remembered me!" Crosshairs' voice echoed from the car. "I've been stuck here for eight months—I'm about to grow mold!"
Jack rolled his eyes as they got in. "Your patience is terrible," he said. "I was lying unconscious for eight months too."
Crosshairs froze. "…You were unconscious for eight months?" he asked, stunned. "Boss… you're really something. You managed to 'do it' for eight months straight?"
Ada immediately looked at him speechlessly. "What exactly are you thinking?"
White Queen sighed. "Your thinking has become just as dirty as Jack's," she said. "He was injured and unconscious, and you're imagining something else entirely."
Crosshairs panicked. "Wait, that's not what I meant—"
"Enough," White Queen cut him off. "If you had actually gone, you'd have been killed instantly. Just focus on driving."
Crosshairs muttered quietly but didn't argue further.
"Stop talking nonsense and drive," Jack said lazily.
"Got it, boss!"
The car shot forward.

At the shopping district…
Alice and Ada instantly transformed.
Clothes, dresses, accessories—one after another, they tried everything.
"This one looks good?" Ada asked, stepping out in a red dress.
Jack barely glanced before answering instantly. "Looks great. You look amazing in anything red."
White Queen snorted from the side. "That's clearly just a generic answer."
Alice walked out next in a black outfit. "What about this?"
"Perfect," Jack said without hesitation. "It suits your figure exactly."
Alice crossed her arms. "You said the same thing just now."
Jack rubbed his forehead. "Fine. Just buy everything you tried."
"Then what's the point of shopping?" Alice and Ada said together.
Jack sighed. "I thought you wouldn't care about this stuff," he said. "I underestimated you."
He stood up. "You two continue. I'll go out for a bit."
Watching him leave, Alice and Ada exchanged a glance and smiled.
"Didn't expect him to retreat," Ada said.

By a quiet artificial lake…
A man sat alone in a small pavilion.
His posture was straight, but his expression… lost.
Two years had passed since he woke up in this new world, yet he still couldn't adapt. The modern world was too loud, too fast—nothing like what he remembered.
Jack walked along the path casually, his gaze scanning the surroundings—until it landed on that figure.
He stopped.
A slow smile spread across his face.
"…Captain America, Steve," Jack murmured softly. "What a coincidence."
He stepped forward, his footsteps light but deliberate.
Steve didn't move. He continued staring at the lake, as if lost in thought.
Jack stopped behind him.
"What are you thinking about, sitting here alone?" he asked.
The air grew slightly heavier.
And in that quiet moment—
Two people from completely different eras… finally crossed paths again.
