Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

Alice and Ada listened as White Queen spoke, her tone unusually measured, as though she were carefully arranging fragile pieces of history before setting them down. The moving car hummed beneath them, engine vibrations blending with the distant noise of New York traffic. Neon lights streamed past the windows like restless rivers of color.

Ada was the first to break the silence.

"I suddenly feel a little sympathy for Peggy."

Her voice was soft, almost absent-minded, yet there was sincerity hidden beneath the calm. The thought lingered in the air.

White Queen smiled faintly. "The entire world should be grateful to Jack."

Alice turned sharply. "There's such a country? Which one?"

White Queen answered without hesitation. "China."

The city's glow flickered across her pale features as she continued.

"During World War II, Japan was invading China. But the atomic bomb exploded in Tokyo instead. The Imperial House of Japan was wiped out. That provoked unimaginable fury among the Japanese. They believed the United States was responsible. Their military forces assembled and turned toward America."

Ada slowly nodded, absorbing the implication. "So indirectly… Jack helped China."

She glanced sideways at him, eyes narrowing slightly. "Jack, was that one of your rare good deeds? Done intentionally? After all… you're Chinese."

Alice scoffed quietly. "You really think he's that kind of person?"

Jack leaned back lazily, his expression the portrait of innocence. "Japan becoming the first nation bombed by an atomic weapon—history simply followed its natural flow. How could that possibly be blamed on me?"

Ada crossed her arms. "In our world, Japan was indeed the first struck by an atomic bomb. But it was the United States who did it."

Jack clicked his tongue dramatically. "I replaced an American citizen, didn't I? That means an American carried that burden. The United States owes me far too much already."

Alice's lips twitched. "Strange logic. That was clearly just your twisted psychology indulging itself."

Jack waved dismissively. "America owes me. So committing crimes here is only fair compensation. No psychological burden whatsoever."

White Queen studied him thoughtfully. "Your triumphant attitude would make the world think you were humanity's public enemy during the war. I believe every government would hunt you down."

Jack shrugged. "Let the storm rage louder."

Alice muttered under her breath, "You truly deserve death."

Jack grinned. "That's perfectly normal."

The speakers crackled suddenly.

"Old boss, when will I get my chance to enjoy things?" Crosshairs' voice rang out dramatically. "I'm not just a vehicle. I'm a soldier!"

Jack snorted. "Relax. Stay as my ride. Your moment of glory will come. Why the hurry?"

Crosshairs responded instantly, tone brightening. "Old boss is wise!"

White Queen glanced at the dashboard. "Crosshairs, following this pervert has truly lowered your dignity. And I've noticed—you've become extremely skilled at flattery."

Crosshairs sighed theatrically. "Don't mention it. I used to be honest and brave…"

Jack's smile turned dangerous. "Keep talking nonsense and I'll dismantle you personally."

"…Yes, old boss."

Ada's gaze drifted forward. "Iron Man doesn't seem that strong."

Jack nodded slowly. "True. But his armor improves constantly. Early models were ordinary. Later ones become far more formidable."

Ada tilted her head. "Wouldn't killing him directly be better?"

Jack's expression darkened slightly. "Destroying the plot prematurely ruins everything. Without the proper sequence—no Villain Points. And don't forget, that idiotic system demands one million Villain Points for my next upgrade."

Ada exhaled. "That really is excessive."

Jack groaned. "No humanity at all. That thing barely qualifies as intelligent life."

White Queen's brows furrowed. "About the system…"

Jack glanced at her. "What?"

She hesitated briefly. "Jack, what do you think the system actually is?"

"A program," Jack replied casually. "Villain Space is like a computer. The system functions like an operating system. That's my understanding."

White Queen shook her head slowly. "It's not that simple. I feel something deeper is hidden within it."

Jack chuckled. "You're overthinking."

"Next time, I will thoroughly analyze Villain Space."

Night thickened outside. Streetlights glowed like distant stars trapped beneath the sky.

Jack stretched. "It's evening. We can't sleep in the car all night."

Ada shot him a look. "Your brain contains only those thoughts?"

Jack pointed ahead. "That Peninsula Hotel looks excellent."

White Queen frowned. "Checking in risks exposing our identities. You'll become the world's most wanted terrorist again."

Jack grinned. "With White Queen here, identification problems don't exist. Alter the hotel's system. Free lodging. No ID required."

White Queen curled her lip. "Always dragging me into your nonsense."

Still, moments later, reality bent to her will.

The Peninsula Hotel's records shifted silently.

A presidential suite awaited.

---

The suite radiated quiet luxury.

Soft golden lighting washed over polished surfaces. Floor-to-ceiling windows revealed the glittering night skyline. The bed stood vast and inviting, layered in immaculate white.

Ada sank onto it, fingers pressing into the plush mattress.

"This is far more luxurious than before."

Jack's eyes gleamed. "Wives… shall we bathe together?"

White Queen muttered, "Pervert."

Ada and Alice exchanged glances, cheeks faintly tinted.

Ada spoke first. "Then… let's bathe."

Jack's grin widened. "Not bathing together would be the true tragedy."

He pulled them both effortlessly toward the marble bathroom.

White Queen's irritated voice followed behind them.

"Don't even think about peeking," Jack added lightly. "Go sleep."

White Queen stomped her foot. "As if I'd look!"

---

Steam curled through the bathroom like drifting mist.

Water cascaded into the enormous tub, its gentle splashing echoing softly. The air smelled faintly of expensive soap and heated stone.

Ada struggled weakly. "Let go…"

Alice's voice rose in mock protest. "Yes, let go of me—hold Ada instead…"

Jack laughed. "No fighting. Tonight we conduct joint research into human anatomy."

Their protests dissolved into laughter, resistance fading beneath warmth, exhaustion, and something more complicated.

Soon—

The quiet hotel night filled with strange sounds.

Soft.

Intermittent.

Sometimes Alice's voice.

Sometimes Ada's.

Sometimes both together.

---

In another room, White Queen buried her face into a pillow.

"FUCK… can't you stop for even a moment?"

The distant noises continued relentlessly.

White Queen sighed in helpless fury.

Outside, New York shimmered, oblivious.

Above the city, clouds drifted slowly across the moon.

And inside the Peninsula Hotel—

Night stretched long and restless.
