The man with a black coat walked into a dense forest while whistling until he encountered a massive dark crack on the ground. The man casually jumped in and fell for quite some time until he landed on the ground below with a loud CRAKOOM, creating a massive dent in the ground and an insane amount of dust around him. The man casually walked out of the dent, unharmed, and proceeded to walk towards the sound of a waterfall.
He walked in complete darkness for quite a while, until he reached the waterfall. He went through the waterfall, using his aura to keep the water from touching him. Beyond the waterfall, there was a humongous grey castle, heavily fortified to the point that one could only dream to infiltrate it by force. The man walked to the front gate, and the gate opened up. The man walked in and was met by a woman wearing a white uniform with an eye patch who didn't seem to be very happy.
"Are you out of your mind, Yamikani! You disregard direct orders from the council, you showed yourself in front of the public, you pursued the monster, and now you are almost an hour!" the woman yelled out.
Yamikani replied, "Hey, it's not my fault we put our freaking meeting point in the middle of nowhere, you know I am bad at direction!"
Hearing Yamikani's words, the woman's vein started to bulge as she yelled out, "You have been to our meeting almost a hundred times!"
"And I am always late, so what's your point?"
"You...!"
"You have to calm yourself, Teresa, otherwise that vein of yours will pop out of your head."
Teresa was about to pull out her weapon to kill Yamikani, but was quickly stopped by another person's voice, "Enough! Both of you, don't waste anymore time, we have real problems to discuss." The voice came from a man behind Teresa. The man is huge and was wearing a black suit, he has a big diagonal scar on his face.
Yamikani, not wasting a second, childishly replied, "Ah, Johnny, always a pleasure to see your ugly face!"
"Why you....!" Teresa yelled out, but John wasn't bothered at all by Yamikani's words; he just turned his back and started walking into the castle.
Yamikani and Teresa slowly followed behind him, creating a distance between them.
Teresa whispered to Yamikani, "You are a jerk, you know, that's not a nice thing to say to John, you know, he is sensitive when it comes to his scar!"
Yamikani was rather confused by Teresa's words and replied mockingly, "You know, for a lord, aren't you a bit too soft? You did, a few weeks ago, agree with the plan to kill a baby."
Teresa was silenced by Yamikani's words. After a minute, she replied, "I know that it was a horrible decision, but after hearing Illina Anam's prophecy, I can't help but recognise that decision as a necessary evil. I don't want any of his prophecy to be true, especially the fact that we, the 12 rulers, will be hopeless against the monster. If that happens, what's stopping it from destroying or ruling over the world for itself? It will only cause destruction and chaos all over the world."
"A necessary evil, eh? Would you say that to those who died because of it?"
Teresa was shocked but somewhat embarrassed hearing Yamikani's words, "Well... what about you? Why did you agree with the decision?"
Yamikani didn't answer right away; he took a minute and then replied, "Well, I didn't really care at the time. I have other things to think about, so I just followed the majority's decision."
Teresa was confused, "Other things? Like wh-" Realisation hit Teresa, and she was left silenced by it. "I see... I am sorry."
Yamikani didn't reply and continued walking as if nothing happened. They continued to walk across a big red hall until they finally arrived in front of another gate. John opened the gate and revealed a beautiful, bright outdoor garden with a huge round table with 12 chairs in the middle of the garden. Nine people already took their seats, leaving three seats vacant.
As the three of them were heading towards their seat, one of the people seated stood up. It was a beautiful young boy with white hair who was wearing a grey robe. The boy then spoke, "Welcome, Yamikani! We have been waiting for you! Take a seat, young man! We have a lot to discuss!"
