Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Ikari's sanity has been clouded by his wrath. The sin continued to eat away any trace of the plan his intellect developed. A peculiar emotion that renders a person illogical of his actions. Purely driven by madness.

A few months ago, before his timely departure towards his goal. Ikari was called by his mother. 'Maybe she is just worried, I announced earlier that I will sail soon.' he thought happily.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in!" he heard his mother answer. "Mom, why have you called me? Is it because of what I said earlier in the day?" Ikari inquired.

"No, it is not about that." Sakura took out a journal. "Your father had a habit of writing his daily routine. Most of what is written inside is just his common practice as the daimyo of udon." she clarified and handed the journal to Ikari.

"I read the entirety of his experience. That is the latest volume of his. He separates them according to the year and month. But what he handed to me was his last years as the daimyo of udon." she had tears in her eyes.

"I should explain what is implied in the text." Sakura cupped her son's cheeks. "Your father was admirable, loyal, and honest to a fault. He wrote the reason why Oden, the daimyo of Kuri and son of the late shogun of wano, danced and humiliate himself while destroying every bit of his reputation and dignity as a samurai." she let go of Ikari and drank the tea on the table in front of them.

"The current shogun of wano, Kurozumi Orochi, threatened Kozuki Oden with the life of a hundred innocent individuals." she sighed in regret. "I confess that I was embarrassed by myself after reading that part. After fulfilling his end of the bargain, that damned Orochi didn't even think twice to renege their agreement." she clenched her fist in anger.

"Your father, Uzuki Tempura, wrote that he was guilty of not helping Kozuki Oden while he was forced to humiliate himself to the citizens of wano, and felt that he should at least cleanse his conscience by fighting the tyranny of Orochi and Kaido. He was an honorable man..." she wept through her words. "Always remember that your father fought for what he believed in. I don't blame him for not escaping with us, his duty chained him and led to his death."

Ikari still kept his silence and listened to her every word. "So, that bastard Kaido had a hand in killing father? Is that it mother?" he asked not even masking the rage in his eyes. "Orochi was merely a puppet for him to establish wano as his territory."

Sakura regretted a bit telling him the truth about the incident. "You were but a child years ago. Don't resent yourself for being not able to help." she comforted him with her gentle voice.

"I am not resenting myself. No. Father would certainly not wish for me to held hatred unto myself." the clouds outside of the dojo dimmed, affected by his mood. "Thank you for sharing this knowledge, mother. Now, I need to replan everything. But I am grateful that I would not learn of this from others."

"I hope that once you reach wano. You can find Kozuki Hiyori. She is a gentle soul. I am afraid of what fate she must have suffered all this time. I only thought about your well-being at that time."

"I promise that I will find her. You can rest assured that she will be fine with me." Ikari vowed to his mother. "I will avenge father, kill the ones involved in his death and make them suffer the nine circles of hell."

Back to the present, Ikari madly leaped from his spot and landed at the center of the chaos that ensued. Bloodlust indicated on his visage, a desire for carnage, massacre, and destruction.

"Absolute Sun Sword Technique," Ikari clenched his Uzuki Kitetsu hanging on his waist. He reinforced the katana with hardened armament haki. With his right foot forward, he rapidly unsheathed the katana from its scabbard and twirled three hundred sixty degrees from his position. "First Tempo, Heatwave Collision!"

Kacha! Splash! Thud!

Ikari sheathed the katana. From his first attack, countless lives were harvested. "Absolute Sun Sword Technique," he did the same motion and had his right foot forward. "Second Tempo, Blazing Inferno!"

Kacha!

As he sheathed the katana again, a wave of flames submerged the unaware pirates. The middle portion of the pirates dwindled from his twin onslaught. Ikari set his eyes on the back row portion of the crowd.

"Absolute Sun Sword Technique," Ikari vanished from his position and materialized in front of the bewildered pirate scums. "Third Tempo, Seething Crescent Moon!" this third variant of the absolute sun series is unlike the first two tempos.

Clustered flames emerged from his Uzuki Kitetsu. A blazing fire in the shape of a crescent moon took the lives of his opponents. They were sliced with a burnt smell originating from their wounds. Their blood vessels could not take the heated slash. It burst open.

The flaming waves of his attack seemed unstoppable as they reached the building and cleaved it in half. The gunslinger had a face of utter shock, his vice-captain had his eyes widened.

Tak! Tak!

"There you are!" Ikari gazed at his prey and slowly strode towards them.

Thud! Thud!

His conqueror's haki burst out and the pirates that survived his madness fainted.

"Ikahahaha! You two are interesting. It seems you are barely worthy of my time. I, thank you, from the bottom of my heart! You stayed conscious and unaffected from that outburst." he grinned, Uzuki Kitetsu had blood falling to the ground leaving a trail of diced corpses.

His unhinged smile caused the onlookers to tremble subconsciously. Ikari flicked the katana and let the blood splatter.

'Gunslinger' Gotti reached for his pistol and pulled the trigger rapidly. "How...?" he asked in confusion as the bullets seemed to phase through Ikari. "This... This is madness!"

'The Barber' Alderman held his mace tightly. "Impossible! ... No one has ever dodged your bullets. They died all the same!" he couldn't believe his eyes, in his years with him, Alderman lived to see his captain's enemies fall.

Tak! Tak!

"Did you have satisfaction with enslaving this town? Feel that you are powerful, having civilians at your fingertips?" Ikari sheathed his Uzuki Kitetsu, veins making themselves known on his forehead. "Wrath of nature shall punish such foolish minds."

"Absolute Zero Sword Technique," Ikari slowly jerked his katana, chilling gust made Gotti and Alderman freeze, unable to move as they knew that a single action will forfeit their lives. "Second Tempo, White Rain!"

Kacha!

Gotti and Alderman couldn't lift a finger from their position.

"A human body has a normal temperature that can withstand heat and cold. You are frozen stiff, and can't make a single movement. It is terrifying, correct?" he sliced their necks and the heads fell off their shoulders. Ikari crouched and grabbed the hairs of their scalp, he held them in one hand.

Ikari turned his back and faced the gaping mess his rampage had done. He noticed the civilians gawked at the scene and stared at the heads in his hands.

"You can unleash your anger, rage, and suffering on these scum. I shall witness who of you can think of a clever way to make them suffer as you do." he smiled at them and stepped toward his crewmates. They made way, afraid that bumping into him will get them killed.

"Collect the loot, oh, and don't mind the civilians, their minds are on the pirates. Quick! Before they set their eyes on the treasures!" he ordered them.

"What happened to the plan?" Law had a headache. "I wasted my stamina on riling them up, and you just barged in and claimed their lives."

"Plans, sometimes, are meant to be broken. I lived that moment and couldn't stop myself... I don't want to be that mad again." Ikari sighed. "It is ironic that I have the power to manipulate temperature. But it seems that even my temper is out of my control."

Caribou had other thoughts though. 'Fuck! I planned on taking revenge on that madman?' he still could not believe what he witnessed. 'He massacred their crew. I should rethink my plans, I don't want to have him at my tail. I should just...' his stupor was interrupted by Bepo and Coribou running with chests in their arms.

"Let's go! We better not let Shachi wait. I don't want to know what he does when he's bored." said Penguin.

"Caribou, can you store these heads? It's a pain to carry them. They still bother me even with their death." Ikari complained.

"Yes, I can store them. They are dead anyway. They are unlikely to suffocate." Caribou answered. "Kehihihi! What do you have in mind, Captain? Do we still need their heads? It's not like we're bounty hunters."

"It would be a waste not to claim their bounties. And, we are not wanted as of yet. So, theoretically, we can still act as a bounty hunter." Ikari glanced at him. "It is wise to lay low in the four seas and not attract attention. We don't need high bounties, once we reach the grand line it will be inevitable."
