Veronica received the drop of blood unwillingly.
She first felt a cooling sensation start from her forehead which then became a scorching hot feeling that traveled out through her body.
Nimbus watched what was happening and controlled the drop of blood with his mental power.
Sit down and focus on your cultivation technique Nimbus told Veronica.
Veronica had no choice but to follow his instructions. She sat down in a lotus position and started cultivating.
Nimbus placed a few seals on his drop of blood so that when she cultivated a wisp of blood would flow through her body and reinforce it and make it tougher while making her Qi purer.
He continued watching her as he nodded happily. She soon started to breakthrough but he suppressed her breakthrough.
She didn't know what was happening but Lucy was shocked. First it was the drop of blood which was different than what he gave the sect master then followed by the care he had while he helped her cultivate.
Nimbus looked at Lucy and explained. She has a wisp of the crow blood line but it's faint fairly weak but it seems like at least seven generations ago one of her ancestors was a Crow that was able to transform into a Dao body.
What's a Dao body? Elder Lucy asked.
A Dao body is something that monster cultivators achieve when they break through a certain rank. Depending on your race and bloodline quality it can be achieved as early a rank 7 but if you have a very high quality bloodline it might take to rank 10 to break through and achieve one.
These monsters tend to look human. Dao bodies appear human because humans were shaped after connate Dao bodies. So humans have one less tribulation since they don't need to transform but their immortal tribulation is much harder to compensate for the lack of Dao body tribulation.
Veronica's ancestor was probably a very intelligent crow that transformed at 7th rank. I don't sense anything special from her bloodline which means that this crow ranked up from a mortal tier.
I gave her my bloodline but it's sealed so that it can slowly adapt to her. We of the Cloudy Crow clan value freedom like the clouds formless with infinite shape.
I suppressed her breakthrough so that the blood can transform her body it would be a waste for her to just rank up so soon.
Why would you do that? Lucy asked Nimbus.
You can consider it an adoption of sorts the stronger her bloodline the more crows will be willing to help. My bloodline is the strongest of my Cloudy Crow clan, as long as she assimilates it well she will have an advantage in the form of family.
She likes formations and arrays so the formless aspect of our nature might inspire her Dao of Arrays and formations.
Elder Lucy we have arrived per the instructions of the sect master.
Two core disciples arrived with a box. Nimbus knew what was inside. He told Lucy to grab the box and to quickly head back to the Cultivation habitat.
Lucy grabbed the box and thanked the core disciples. Veronica quickly woke up after the conversation interrupted her cultivation.
Nimbus looked at Veronica and then to Lucy and spoke with a bit of haste in his voice. Everyone let's go.
Elder Lucy put the box in her storage ring and Nimbus took his spot on Veronica's head. Lucy and Veronica headed back to the Cultivation habitat.
They both arrived at the entrance and Nimbus pointed the way.
Just to warn you again my family is there so be on your best behavior. Latem isn't as accommodating as I am the others might be but honestly we don't spend a lot of time together. Our bonds are from our bloodline and we won't betray each other but that doesn't mean we are kind to each other.
Elder Lucy was very apprehensive after hearing that but Veronica was much more calm. The closer she got to them the more familiar she was to them it felt as if she was coming home.
It's about time Nimbus! Gaia spoke frustrated.

Lucy and Veronica heard the verbal spat and became uncomfortable.
Student an orange yellow Crow flew on top of Veronica next to Nimbus.
Veronica was frustrated her head was not a nest!

Yes mother I have! Nimbus puffed out his chest with pride.
Good Halcyon replied. She then started to preen Nimbus and all the rest laughed.
Mother I am not a child you don't need to do this. Nimbus said embarrassedly.
Hush now child you will always be my child no matter how old you get. Halcyon spoke with pride and conviction.
Nimbus just stood there defeated and Veronica did her best not to laugh.
