Before King Monroe laid his eyes on a Star Beast, he had seen some phantom images recorded by the Immortals that depicted Star Beasts devouring planets. The application of divine powers to record these galactic events could almost perfectly recreate their massive awe-inspiring scenes.
But when King Monroe saw a Star Beast with his own eyes, he realized that a phantom is, after all, only a phantom.
This living planet didn't move violently; it adhered to a fixed rhythm. It didn't grow anything resembling a black hole-like gaping mouth or bizarre organs like tentacles.
However, even when it was still, it was easily identifiable as something other than a silent, dead planet.
"This must be the difference between a waking Star Beast and a slumbering one," King Monroe quietly observed to himself. The ever-silent Mr Sun by his side, however, became grave.
