During the trip, Bella would occasionally send messages, updating Jayce on their location. This included pictures of her and Ashley tasting the local cuisine, shopping, and random selfies from sightseeing spots.
Although Jayce didn't say it directly, the messages and pictures helped him with his stress.
"You're always looking at your phone. Do you have a girlfriend or something?" Amaya asked after seeing him on his phone during his off time.
"Shut up."
Each day the shapeshifter was absent, the more his anxiety grew. Not only did his instincts tell him that something was wrong, but the waste of time was getting under his skin constantly.

Unfortunately, his wish didn't come true as the days passed by peacefully. By the following week, they were already preparing for Amaya's next concert.
