The Outlander let out a long sigh, realizing that in the first three months of his adventure in 1854, what touched him the most wasn't discovering the power of the Earth, but understanding love and marriage.
When he was in his hometown, he didn't mention marriage and didn't even understand what love was. It was only after coming to this world, under Luviya's guidance, that he grasped what love is. After witnessing so many stories in the Randall Valley and finally meeting his earliest friends again, he had much he wanted to say to Luviya, to Dorothy, and to Lecia. When tonight is over, he wished to watch the sunset with them and talk about the meaning of life.
Of course, thoughts on life and the touch of love are to be pondered when there are idle moments, for at present, Shard doesn't have the luxury of spare time to waste.
