Chapter 3 - The Father, The Son, and the Saiyan Child of Destiny

Chapter 3 — The Father, The Son, and the Saiyan Child of Destiny

Deep beneath the royal palace of Planet Sadala, hidden far below the reach of ordinary Saiyans, existed a massive chamber carved from ancient black stone.

The room was silent.

No guards.

No servants.

Only pressure.

An overwhelming pressure so dense that even elite Saiyans would collapse unconscious the moment they entered.

At the center of the chamber sat a lone young man.

Silver energy flickered faintly around him like unstable lightning. His hair was dark, but streaks of silver appeared whenever his aura fluctuated. Unlike most Saiyans, his expression was calm and emotionless.

He sat cross-legged in complete silence.

Then—

His eyes opened.

Silver irises glowed in the darkness.

"…So he finally came."

The moment those words left his mouth, the chamber doors exploded open.

BOOOOM!

Dust filled the room as footsteps echoed slowly through the chamber.

Mints entered lazily with both hands behind his head.

"Wow."

He glanced around casually.

"You really locked yourself underground."

The young man stared at him quietly.

For several seconds, neither spoke.

Then Mints pointed directly at him.

"You look like me."

The young man blinked once.

"That's your first sentence?"

"Well, it's true."

Mints walked closer while observing him carefully.

The resemblance was unmistakable.

Not in the face.

But in the aura.

The stillness.

The strange detachment from everything around them.

It was like looking at a younger version of himself.

Mints scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"So…"

He coughed lightly.

"You're my son."

The young man slowly stood.

"And you're my father."

Silence.

Then both spoke at the same time.

"You're disappointing."

The room became quiet again.

Then Yamoshi, who had just arrived outside the chamber, burst into laughter loud enough to shake the palace.

"Hahahahaha!"

Paula smacked her forehead.

"They really are related…"

Inside the chamber, Mints narrowed his eyes.

"You're weaker than I expected."

The young man crossed his arms.

"And you're later than expected."

Mints blinked.

"…Fair."

The young man sighed softly.

"My name is Azer."

"Mints."

"I know."

"Right."

Another awkward silence followed.

Finally, Azer looked directly at him.

"Why did you leave?"

The question was simple.

But the atmosphere immediately changed.

Even Yamoshi stopped laughing outside.

Mints remained quiet for several moments.

Then he answered honestly.

"I got tired."

Azer frowned.

"Tired?"

"Tired of wars. Tired of gods. Tired of people constantly demanding things from me."

Mints shrugged casually.

"So I slept."

Azer stared blankly.

"You abandoned your family because you wanted a nap?"

"When you say it like that, it sounds bad."

"Because it is bad."

Mints scratched his head awkwardly again.

"…Yeah."

To everyone's surprise, Azer suddenly laughed softly.

Not mockingly.

Not angrily.

Just amused.

"You really are absurd."

Mints smirked slightly.

"That's what everyone says."

Azer studied him carefully.

The strongest being in existence.

The ancient monster feared by gods.

The ancestor of Saiyans.

Yet standing before him now looked less like a terrifying deity and more like a lazy older brother who forgot his responsibilities.

It was strangely… comforting.

Then Mints suddenly flicked Azer's forehead.

THUNK!

"…Ow."

"You're emotionally constipated."

Azer twitched.

"What?"

"You isolate yourself underground, suppress your emotions, suppress your power, and pretend you don't care about anything."

Mints crossed his arms.

"That's unhealthy."

Azer stared at him in disbelief.

"You disappeared for billions of years."

"Yes."

"And you're lecturing me?"

"Yes."

"…Unbelievable."

Yamoshi nearly collapsed laughing outside the chamber.

Paula looked exhausted already.

Mints suddenly walked around Azer in circles while examining him carefully.

"Hm."

He poked Azer's shoulder.

"Too tense."

Then his stomach.

"Too restrained."

Then his forehead.

"And this…"

Mints sighed dramatically.

"…this mindset is terrible."

Azer frowned.

"What's wrong with my mindset?"

"You're limiting yourself."

Silver energy flickered around Mints instantly.

The chamber trembled violently.

Azer's eyes widened.

For the first time, he felt the true pressure of his father's existence.

It was endless.

Boundless.

Like standing before the universe itself.

Mints looked directly into his son's eyes.

"Our bloodline does not grow through fear."

BOOOOOM!

The hidden power inside Azer reacted violently.

Silver lightning exploded around his body as ancient Saiyan instincts awakened.

Mints smirked.

"There it is."

Azer gritted his teeth.

His aura surged wildly.

The chamber began cracking apart.

Yamoshi immediately created a barrier outside while laughing nervously.

"Hahaha… there goes the basement."

Paula sighed.

"Of course."

Inside, Azer's energy rose higher and higher.

For years he had restrained himself.

Restricted his growth.

Suppressed the monstrous potential sleeping inside his bloodline.

But now, standing before the origin itself—

Those restraints shattered.

Silver light burst from his eyes.

Mints smiled proudly.

"Good."

Then—

To everyone's shock—

Mints raised one finger.

SNAP.

Azer suddenly froze.

"Huh?"

His body rapidly shrank.

His adult form compressed smaller and smaller until—

POOF!

A baby floated in the air wearing oversized clothes.

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Then—

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

Even baby Azer somehow shouted clearly.

Yamoshi fell flat on the floor laughing hysterically.

Paula's jaw dropped.

"MINTS!"

Mints casually caught infant Azer.

"Hm. Much better."

Baby Azer flailed violently.

"TURN ME BACK!"

"No."

"WHY?!"

Mints looked completely serious now.

"Because your foundation is terrible."

Azer nearly exploded from rage.

"I WAS PERFECTLY FINE!"

"No, you weren't."

Mints held him up like an object under inspection.

"You developed bad habits. Suppressed instincts. Improper ki circulation. Incomplete emotional balance."

He nodded decisively.

"So we're restarting."

Azer looked horrified.

"You can't just reset a person!"

"I literally just did."

Paula stared at Mints blankly.

"…You turned your own son into a baby."

Mints shrugged.

"It's easier to train him properly this way."

Baby Azer pointed furiously.

"THIS IS CHILD ABUSE!"

Yamoshi could no longer breathe from laughter.

"Hahahahaha!"

Mints ignored everyone completely.

"Anyway."

He looked toward Universe 7.

"I'm going there."

Paula blinked.

"Universe 7?"

Mints nodded.

"There's an interesting child there."

"Kakarot?"

"Yep."

Mints smiled faintly.

"He carries traces of both bloodlines."

Baby Azer groaned.

"So you're abandoning me again?!"

Mints looked offended.

"I'm literally taking you with me."

"That's worse!"

Paula suddenly crossed her arms.

"I'm coming too."

Mints blinked.

"Hm?"

"You left for billions of years."

Paula narrowed her eyes dangerously.

"I'm not letting you disappear again."

Mints scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"…Fair enough."

Yamoshi grinned widely.

"This sounds entertaining already."

Mints glanced toward him.

"You're not coming?"

Yamoshi shook his head.

"Nah. Someone has to manage this planet."

Then he smirked.

"Besides, Universe 7 already has enough problems."

Mints laughed loudly.

"True."

He opened a dimensional portal casually.

Space folded apart instantly, revealing the stars of Universe 7.

Before leaving, Yamoshi suddenly called out.

"Brother."

Mints paused.

Yamoshi smiled softly.

"Try not to destroy any universes this time."

Mints grinned.

"No promises."

Then he stepped through the portal carrying baby Azer under one arm.

Paula followed immediately.

The portal closed.

And silence returned to Planet Sadala.

Yamoshi stared at the empty sky for several moments before sighing.

"…The universe is doomed."

### **Universe 7 — Planet Vegeta**

A portal silently opened high above the Saiyan planet.

Mints stepped out first.

Paula followed beside him while carrying supplies.

Baby Azer floated angrily nearby inside a ki barrier.

"I still hate this."

"You'll thank me later."

"I WON'T!"

Mints ignored him.

Below them, Planet Vegeta remained busy as usual.

Saiyan warriors trained endlessly while Frieza's empire tightened its control over the race.

Paula looked downward quietly.

"So this is the current Saiyan civilization…"

Mints snorted.

"Embarrassing, right?"

"They're weak."

"Very."

Baby Azer crossed his tiny arms.

"They still have potential."

Mints smirked.

"Exactly why I'm here."

He looked toward a distant location on the planet.

A rough Saiyan warrior stood outside his home while staring at the stars.

Bardock.

Inside the house rested a small infant.

Kakarot.

The future Son Goku.

Mints' silver eyes narrowed slightly.

"There he is."

Paula smiled softly.

"He's adorable."

Baby Azer looked offended.

"I was adorable too."

"Father!"

Mints floated downward slowly.

For the first time in countless ages—

The strongest being in existence approached the child who would one day shake the multiverse.

Kakarot.

The Saiyan who would become Goku.

And Mints smiled.

"This should be fun."
