Wait...I did it? I did it! I'm ascending to Demi-God realm! Let's go! Wait hold on. Get to safe place in 10 seconds...?
I look around for a place like that; all I'm met with however, is nothing but cracked ground stretching for miles.
'THERE'S NO SAFE SPACE HERE!' I think, as I see another prompt in front of me.
「5 seconds」
Wait, didn't I get a skill back?
「4 seconds」
Right, training room!
「3 seconds」
That's a safe place!
「2 seconds」
Seeing the time left, I speedily blurt out "Training room!" I get sucked into the portal and end up in a familiar place.
「1 second」
I did it!
「User will be knocked out for 12 hours due to the ascension process」

In a room filled with screens, two tall figures, each as big as at least a mountain, stood there, cloaked with a dark blue cloak and a black mask that completely covered their face. On the many screens, there were many different people shown. Some of them are progenitors of ancient races, others have the blessing of gods. Some have even more ancient powers. However, one thing is consistent for all of the people on screen: They each had a system.
"So he died, eh?" one of the beings said, in an stoic tone.
"Indeed. Well, it's fine. He produced the least energy in all our company's history, so he was quite worthless. I mean, the amount he produced was so low the system couldn't even read it." The other one replied, also stoic.
"Still, he could've been a good soldier for us to use, even if he didn't produce any energy. Even the weakest should be able to make it to the @#!*($ realm, right?" The first one shot back.
"Well, I guess you're right, but we have so many anyway, it doesn't matter if we lose a single one." The second one countered.
"Sigh, I guess you're right." The first one replied, closing a file on his desk. In the file, there was a lone name: Caden Rossfield.

I yawn as I get up from the floor I was sleeping on. "Man, that was a good rest! I haven't really been able to rest a lot these days, but that sure did help me clear my head!" I say as I look around the training room. Yup, same old white room.
Before I could do anything, system notifications started to flood into my vision.
「User has successfully ranked up to the Demi-God realm」
「Level cap increased: 50 -> 100」
「Leftover essence detected. Does the user want to absorb this essence?」
「Y/N」
'Is that even a question? Of course!' I think as I tap yes.
「Absorbing essence...」
「...!」
「Essence has been diverted to the user's soul and a seed has been formed」
「Due to unexpected result, system is stopping the absorption of essence into the user's body」
...what? The essence did what now? A seed? I'm so confused. What is this seed that's formed into my soul?
「The seed is a byproduct of the stick of ??? the user has」
Ohhh, it's from that stick. I knew there was more to it than just being a strong stick!
Wait hold on...did the system just answer a question of mine? What? Is it because of the system upgrade thingy? How interesting...
Anyway, focus. If the system is answering my question, may as well tackle some big ones.
"System, what do you mean by simulation?" I ask, determining that issue to be most important to me currently.
「The world the user was sent to was nothing but a simulation as an attempt from the administrators to-User is too weak to comprehend anymore info」
"What? Then when can I comprehend this info, huh?" I ask, a bit mad from how much the system is hiding from me.
「Come back when you can create planets with the snap of your fingers and maybe your brain won't explode from the information」
Well...that shut me up real good. Also, did the system just casually tell me to CREATE PLANET?!? Sigh, it's going to take a while before I actually get answers, eh?
Oh and one more thing, the system...has a personality? What in the world? I thought it was going to be some monotone, robotic thingy or something!
Well, that doesn't matter right now. I still have a few more questions.
"So system, how much of that was a simulation then?" I ponder. After all, I still have training room and great heal, so was ALL of it fake?
「All of it was. At the same time, none of it was. The simulation the user was put in was a reality that a very powerful being created. However, as soon as the user left, the whole place was destroyed; even the powerful being can't keep over 1000 reality open at once.」
「Some things, like the monsters you killed, were actually generated by an algorithm that's meant to guide the user through the process. Yet somehow, the user still managed to almost die, which is quite surprising. Other things, like the inheritance the user received was real; however, it is locked away in deep inside you, so I wouldn't count of using them any time soon. The strong being you've heard of from the dragons is also real.」
Ok wait...those subtle implications...IS THIS POWERFUL BEING CREATING AND CONTROLLING 1000 REALITIES?!? WHAT A POWERFUL BEING! DEAR GOD!
'Calm down' The mysterious voice that told me to dodge earlier sounds out. My body instantly relaxes as I no longer feel as stressed thinking about this topic.
'There's obviously only one thing I can do right now and that's to get op as soon as possible!' I steel my resolve. Before that, however, I need to check out that mysterious skill however. What I saw however, shocked me.

I finally see more! Is it because I finally ascended? Well, it definitely did more harm to me than good. I'm an reincarnation? Of what? Or rather, of who? To warrant a skill of its own, what's so special about me...?
For some reason, I feel a strange emotion flow into me. It's...strange to think I'm someone else while being me. How does that even work? Will I randomly forget everything when I regain my past life's memories? Will I just...fade away?
Ok calm down, that's not necessarily the case. There's a chance that my incarnation was weak in the grand scale of things, but is stronger than me. I mean, everyone probably has a past incarnation, right? I'm not alone in this...right?
After drilling that thought into my head, I check the soul's voice skill.
「Skill: Soul's Voice (lvl 1)
「The skills, instincts, advice, experiences, memories, skills, powers, and many other things will temporarily flow into the user, allowing them to assess a portion of a past life's power. The higher this skill level and user level is, the more power can be used. This skill also has a passive ability that occasionally advices the user. Active effect uses all of user's mana for a temporary burst of power for 5 seconds.」
When I first saw this skill, I thought it was absolutely broken. I mean, this is basically plot armor! I'll finally be op! But then I thought about it a bit more. It harnesses my past life's power...so what if I was complete trash in it? This skill wouldn't be useful at all!
But I guess I'll never know, unless I was use all my mana just to test it out. Of course, I'm not going to do that right now. Instead, I want to keep getting stronger. For that, I need to battle stronger enemies and gain exp.
Now what was it that Alfred said about training room again? That's right, it's time to go dungeon hunting!
