Ch. 202 Kara vs Esdeath
Pov.
-Kara-
I pat her claws aside with my wrist.
I slam my fist into her side and snap behind her.
She spins around.
I block her shin with my forearm
She quickly steps back.
I follow behind, pausing and back flipping over her fist and kicking the back of her head, burying her face into the ground.
I take off, putting a some distance between us as the ground erupts with her icy spears
I spin and dodge everything she threw at me.
I spin around after she disappears.
She catches my shin against her shoulder.
I step back, sweeping in and slamming my fist into her chin.
She curses, spinning around my arm and smashing her elbow into my cheekbone.
We clash back and forth. Obliterating the terrain for miles as I lead her further from the capital
I crash through three mountains before catching myself on the fourth
I caught her hands.
She violently beats her wings forcing me to weld my feet into the ground.
I swing her over my shoulder, spinning twice before flinging her into the sky
I catch the back of her head and I smash her face into a mountain peak and across the forest floor.
She breaks free.
The mountain behind me bursts into a thousand meter long and hundred meter wide dragon.
I swing back. A massive circle appears above my head as she creates a dragon herself, identical in size
Mine twists around and clamps his jaws around her nape before it could devour me.
We teleport around the clashing beasts, trying to find an opening on eachother.
We land on my dragon's head. I pat her fists over my shoulders, and raise my knee to block her shin.
She draws Sussanoo, her blade.
Chaos snaps into a katana, catching hers above my head.
The forest splits behind me after I caught her blade
Our blades snap and chime, shredding the forest and the entire terrain with every swing as our dragons thrash and tangle around us.
I block her blade
She lets go of her blade and claws at my chest.
I leap back as she catches her blade. I slap it aside before she could pierce my chest
She digs her elbow into my gut, sheathing her blade as she did
Chaos snaps into a ring on my finger
I slap her other wrist aside and smash a Rasengan into her chest.
A massive twister bursts out of her back
She mixes the twister with her ice, creating a massive cyclone that shot icy bullets as we continue back and forth.
My dragon catches her dragon and drags it into the sky. He crushes her dragon clean in half before spinning around for Esdeath
I swoop beneath her and slam my elbow into her chin. She blocks my fist for her gut. I spin around and smash my shin into her elbow, sending her soaring across the sky
Final…
I snap behind her
"Flash!"
She spins around and unleashes an icy beam of her own at point blank, caving the ground within a 10 mile radius in an instant
Shit…
I spin out of the way as she quickly overpowered me
Her beam blows my arm clean off just before my dragon snatches her and buried her into the ground.
My arm quickly regenerates using reverse curse as she tears herself out of the ground.
She beats her wings, launching herself into the sky
Our fists clash, doubling the crater in depth and size.
I bring my knee into my chest and cross my arms, crunching my fingers, spliting the glacier she burst from the ground at point blank.
I raise my hands, the clouds snap and rain a hail of golden lightning that creates a canyon about 30 miles long.
She snaps in front of me, and slams her shin into my chest, sending me flying back into the capital.
I flop and crash around before she teleports above my head.
I caught her fist, perfectly canceling out the blow back that would have erased the entire capital.
She growls under her breath before snapping behind me.
I spin around, grabbing her wrist and redirecting her ice into a cloud in the sky that covers the entire capital with a sheet of snow as we continue.
The ground cracks and trembles as I catch and deflect her fists and claws.
I slam my knee into her face, catch her ankle and swing her into the sky.
I slam my feet against her chest and slam her into a parking lot.
She sweeps me off my feet.
And slams her shin into my gut
I crashed through a building faster than I could react.
I flip and spin around anyone in my way as I crash through building after building.
After erupting out of the last one she smashes her fist into my cheekbone.
I throw her over my shoulder and and body slam her against a busy highway
She kicks and throws a blue Camry
I catch and toss everyone out safely before throwing it back
She throws a semi
I split it clean in half before catching her fists in between, blowing every other car on the highway aside
"Shit…" I grit my teeth
"Stop worrying about these insects!" She yanks her fist back "you're fighting me!"
She spins around
I block her shin before she uppercuts my chin with a pillar of ice
I jump away from the massive ice hammer, Summoning Sussanoo as she bursts out of her hammer
I smash her into the ground, dragging her across the pavement before aiming her into the sky.
Super Big Bang…
"Attack!"
Susannoo blasts her miles into the sky with the Big Bang attack
I catch her face before burying her back into the ground, miles deep without damaging the capital
We end up inside a massive cave where she wraps her leg around my arm and tugs as hard as she can
I pop my arm out of its socket, Letting her rip my arm off before pounding her face into the ground
She flips back into my feet, lunging at me as soon as she could
I block her fist with my forearm as it grew back
She summons a massive golem fist that I catch with Susano's hand
I flip back opening my arms as I land
She spins back tugging her hand back and raising her knee like a pitcher
"Final…" I charge up my attack
"Galic…"
"Flash!" I fire my massive beam
"Gun!" She does the same, using the same technique she must have seen me use a decade ago
The beams collide, bulging the cave
Sussanoo erupts onto his feet, catching the ceiling before the capital could crumble on top of us.
"Fight me!"
An ice golem tackles him aside before Sussanoo sprouts out of his back and catches the ceiling again.
Our beams flicker and snap.
"Quit being so soft. Insects like that don't deserve your pity!" She pours more energy into her Galic Gun, pushing me back
It's not about pity…
I struggle to match her energy
It's not about showing mercy to the weak.
It's about Cana
It's always been about her.
Everything I do will be for her.
Because…
I don't know what I am anymore.
She blows Sussanoo away.
I swoop in and catch the ceiling as rocky pillars erupt from the ground to tie everything back together.
I block Esdeath's fist with the sole of my foot
Before locking my fingers together and hammering her into the ground.
I quickly catch everything over my shoulder before Esdeath tackles me through the ceiling.
I pound and elbow her back as she drags me back onto the surface
She grabs my face and bashes me through building after building.
I manage to break free, covered in innocent blood that mudded together with all the rubble.
I stumble through a large crowd.
I bring my hands together as the capital began caving into the ground.
I jump back as Esdeath leads her fingertips to my chest
"Domain Expansion."
Seat of Cronus.
"Father Time."
All of time freezes within a 30 mile radius as I stumble back onto a throne.
I reverse time itself for every lesser creature and pieces of non living matter…
The damage we did to the buildings and the depths of the capital reverse back to the way they were before our battle.
It only affected no living things so every human we happen to obliterate during our battle had their flesh brought back together.
If their soul was still wandering then they were able to receive the life they had only just lost
But more importantly the capital itself stopped sinking into the ground after our exchange
My domain then crumbles before Esdeath shoves her arm through my chest, obliterating the lung I had already sacrificed for the Domain.
I smash my knee into her gut.
She rips her arm out of my chest, taking a rib with her as I cough a liter of blood
My hair flickers on and off as I flip, twist and dodge her attacks, pushing and shoving anyone unfortunate enough to be in the way.
"Enough with this-." She opens her arm
I catch her wrists before her hands could come together and erase the capital in its entirety
"Kgh…" she grinds her teeth together
"When did I… ever… Receive your pity?" She huffs "when did I… receive your mercy?"
I cough and puke my own blood as I try so desperately to hold it in.
"Never!" She smashes her fist into my cheekbone.
She expands her domain, the same one she used on Cana.
But I mange to cancel it out woth a domain of my own
She tries again, but again our Domains Clash, blowing us apart. Only depleting our stamina
"So why should they have it?!" She tries yet again.
…
I was stuck.
For so long…
"I was alone… for so long…"
…
"I-I don't want that anymore" I cough.
"You were never alone… you've always had me…" Lucy's voice surfaces behind Esdeaths.
"From your Hatred and Depravity I was born… it's so powerful it birthed one like you whom cannot die. Can you say the same for Cana?"

"Cana… will she die? What about Lia?"
…
"That isn't the same…"
"But it is. She'll lose her soul. And it will be all because of you…"
"Shut up…"
"You know it's true. You know exactly what you had to do to keep her alive…" she grins widely "and now you can't undo it!"
I step aside before uppercutting her chin. She grabs the back of my head
I grab her wrist and bring her over my shoulder and body slam her into the ground, caving it in.
"Lucy and I… we can be with you forever!" She beats her torn wings
I grab her collarbone and jerk her back down.
We thrash around in the dirt.
"I don't need you!" I shove her back
I won't be a slave to my hate any longer
To my Wrath…
My Greed.
My Envy
To my… Pride.
My hair flickers back to its natural black as her wings fall to her sides.
We lazily punch back and forth, completely drained of our stamina.
She draws Sussanoo
Chaos snaps into a dagger just in time only for her to knock it aside.
She raises her blade before Cana tackles her back.
They pull and tug at each others hair
Cana's Darkmoon Greatsword lands in her palm and she bashes Esdeath's cheek with it.
Cana stumbles onto her rear as Esdeath crashes 15 meters away.
She looks up at me with a long beautiful smile.
"You did it Kara… nobody died…"
I return a small genuine smile.
"Th-thats enough… Esdeath…" I force myself back to my feet
"Please, don't exhaust yourself any longer…" Cana huffs
Esdeath curses under her breath and snatches her blade by the edge
"Your baby… you need to rest for him…" Cana adds
…
"We'll… figure everything out then…" I huff "I won't run… but I won't let you hurt Cana… or anyone else…" I look at Cana… for some kind of validation
"This Nation… is free from your tyranny"
Cana smiles widely, hugging me proudly as I finally felt my pride crumbling behind me.
Not because of humiliation, but because of something stronger. Something beyond me.
…
"No… no-no-No! It's mine! It's all mine! You belong to me! These insects belong to me! You can't take anything from me!"
…
"I already have. All that's left of you is your wrath… you can't hurt anyone anymore… I won't allow it."
She grips the edge of her blade so tight that her blood trickled into a puddle
"Wrong… I still hold all the power over you…" she raises her blade
"No wait!" Cana pushes off me.
It took me a moment to understand what she was talking about.
I only realized the moment she shoved the blade into her belly, easily splitting her uterus in two…
"No!" Cana lets out a loud painful shriek, falling on her knees and hugging her own stomach as if she had been struck herself.
She twists the blade and jerks it out of her stomach, a small bloody fetus spilling out.
…
She…
Killed him…
…
The ground cracks and the sky darkens as the overwhelming hate and resentment I thought that I bottled down, exploded and devoured my psyche.
Esdeaths opens her arms, welcoming the execution that repeated indefinitely in my head.
"No Kara. Don't do it!" Cana tugs on my bicep as I raise a sphericle red-violet colored light, snapping and cracking with black electricity
"You can't! You've come so far!" Cana cries
Her words sound distant. But they grew heavy in my chest.
"Do You Hate Me Now, Kara?"
…
"Kara, No!" Cana shrieks as I swing my arm over my shoulder…
But the very moment my arm extended over Cana's small frame, I felt a small pang of regret…
A bright light overshadows my attack the very moment it let off my finger
It slams into her chest, splitting her soul in two.
Esdeaths cries painfully as she coughs up even more blood, darkened by Lucy's own Depravity.
She cries and begs for mercy as she shrivels into her own clothes…
Into a sobbing child.
I lean on Cana as she hugs my waist, propping me up.
I… cleansed her soul from the binding vow she took with Lucy
She must've been that young when she first encountered her
Through sin, or whatever it may have been.
"Why didn't you kill me? I deserve to die…" she whimpers, hugging herself with her small leather wings
I sit back, watching as Cana hurries to Esdeath's side.
She carefully removes the blade from her belly and wraps her up, doing her best to keep her from bleeding out
…
She brings her in for a hug, fighting back tears as Esdeath begged for her forgiveness.

Esdeath…
…
The once brazen Lion… reduced to a defenseless cub.
