Chapter 2 - Chapter 2- Miles Lee Harper

Upon hearing that, a befuddled look appeared on Miles's face, but he reacted in the next second. He scrambled up from the ground and ran to his room while screaming, "I'm going to call the police!!"

"Bang!!"

His room door slam shut while his voice lingered in the hallway.

The figure stood by the bathroom door while shaking his head.

Then, he stepped out of the bathroom into the hallway, but, as if he was a specter, his image blurred in and out as his couple of steps quickly brought him to the front of Miles's bedroom door. Then without resistance, he passed right through it.

In the room, Miles was under his bed dialing 9-1-1 when he heard a voice similar to his own say, "Miles Lee Harper, stop behaving like a wuss and get out from under our bed. Aren't you smart enough to realize what's happening?"

Miles looked up from his phone to see a pair of legs, wearing a familiar pair of white canvas by his bedside.

After thinking for a moment, a hesitant look appeared on his face, but he soon made a decision. He closed his phone and slowly got up from under his bed.

He was on one side of the bed, while the figure that looked like him was on the other.

Throwing his phone onto his bed, Miles pursed his lips and begrudgingly said, "Even if you say that, anyone would freak out in this situation."

Miles 2 nodded his head and said in agreement, "Well that's true."

The two youths then stood there silently, staring at each other for a while, before Miles broke the awkward silence with a question, "So, are you another me from an alternate dimension, or a future me?"

"The second one." Miles 2 responded. It seemed he had been waiting for that question to be asked.

"Then how come you're here? Did you... I mean, did we travel through a wormhole or some other extraordinary means?" Miles asked again.

Miles 2 shook his head and said, "You're going to be stuck in a time-loop, repeating the week over and over again. I don't know how long it's been going on for, since the first few times we were stuck in the time loop, we never recorded it, but the same thing happening to you now happened to me too."

After he said that he took a small black notebook from his back pocket and threw it on the bed in front of Miles.

Picking up the book, Miles opened it on a specifically marked page and saw, in his own handwriting, certain details about different events that's going to happen today. On the first page, he saw details about what to do and not do when approaching himself in the bathroom, and what to say to calm him down when he went under his bed.

There was even a passage that explained how he was once admitted to a psychiatric ward because he kept saying he was seeing and hearing another version of himself.

Looking up from the book, Miles said, "So? What now?"

Miles 2 merely shrugged his shoulders, and said, "Now it's your turn to try and get out of the loop. I already tried and nothing worked."

Upon hearing that, Miles skipped ahead to the page where the writings stopped and read it. After which his face went pale, and he ran out of the room to vomit in the bathroom.

Miles 2 just indifferently specter his way to the bathroom entrance and watch his past, or maybe he should say current self, throwing up.

When Miles was done vomiting, he turned to Miles 2 and said aggrievedly, "What's wrong with you, did you actually kill seventeen people?"

Miles 2 looked at him and responded, "You'll understand soon enough why 'we' did that."

Miles, who was hunched over the toilet shook his head and said, "I won't. I definitely wouldn't do something like that no matter what the circumstances were."

After he said that, he started vomiting again.

Miles 2 then said, "We're the same person, so technically you already did."

The sound of Miles throwing up even harder echoed out after he heard that.

~Some days you're the only thing I know. Only thing that's burning when the nights grow cold…. ~

The lyrics of a popular song from a pop band played on Miles iPhone while he got ready for school. Miles 2 was at the window across from his bed just staring blankly outside.

After Miles got ready, he glanced towards him. Seeing the outfit Miles chose to wear, a slight smile formed on his blank expression as he said, "Nice outfit."

A brief look of confusion appeared on Miles, but he soon noticed Miles 2's gray T-shirt and blue jeans jacket. He glanced down at his outfit and realized he was wearing the same thing.

He hadn't realized when he was picking his outfit that they were the same as Miles 2, but this just goes to show that he had indeed gone through today before.

After thinking for a moment, Miles turned to his closet and changed out of his clothes into a long sleeve sweater and yellow shorts.

Miles 2 looked at the outfit his past counterpart chose to wear with an amused expression on his face.

The sweater had horizontal sections that had every color of the rainbow in it. But besides being a bit childish to look at, that was nothing compared to what was printed on the front of the shorts. It was Fry and Bender from the cartoon 'Furture-rama' on each pant leg. They had their arms extended upward towards the middle while holding empty beer mugs. The picture bordered on a comedic and suggestive design.

~Call me in the morning to apologize!!...~

Miles ignored Miles 2 amused expression and connected his iPhone to his wireless Airpods, which caused the loud music to be cut short. After placing only one of the ear buds in his left ear, he stuffed the future diary into his right back pocket and headed for his bedroom door.

Miles 2's specter-like figure followed in tow as they went down the stairs to the first floor.

In the kitchen, Miles saw a brown paper bag with a sticky note on it that had the words 'lunch' written on it. Next to it was a box of cereal with another sticky note that said 'breakfast'.

Miles could only sigh at the sight. "Still with all the sticky-notes? I already told her that my poor memory after the accident recovered a month ago. Even Dr. Stanley said it might have even gotten better than it was before the accident. I may have even became a savant!"

After grumbling his complaints, Miles protested by ignoring the cereal and instead grabbed an apple for breakfast. He was already running late for school anyway.

With an apple in one hand and his lunch in the other, he walked to the front door. Miles 2 wordlessly went before him, phasing through the door.

Ignoring that hair-raising sight, Miles held the apple in his mouth and picked up his backpack from the rack that was next to the door before leaving the house.

While standing outside on the porch, he clicked into the security app on his phone and locked all the windows and doors of the house. After turning off the music in his ear, he stuffed the phone and Airpods into his left front pocket, before finally beginning his walk to school. But he didn't forget the most important thing to focus on right now, and so, he began to flip through the future diary as he walked.
