Chapter 901 - Klein’s Analysis

After repeatedly reading the content on this page of the diary, Klein couldn't help but frown, thinking to himself:

Even the copies carry a certain power to stir emotions. When the Emperor wrote this diary, he had very likely already become the "Knowledge Emperor" that the "Tower" told me about, unconsciously imbuing his words with power. Even the copies still retained the influence.

Fortunately, Miss Justice and the other handlers couldn't understand Chinese, otherwise there would most likely have been problems...

But even so, the place where this original page of the diary was kept for a long time would probably show certain issues... for example, it might make people more impulsive, more prone to doing things they would later regret.

After considering it, Klein decided to ask Miss Justice later about the origin of this page of the diary, and then let Ebner handle it, so as to avoid real trouble.

His attention then quickly shifted back to the diary itself, with both relief and confusion in his heart:

Why was the Emperor's mood so agitated, nearly hysterical, when he prophesied that women would conceive under the influence of the moon?

And the intense turbulence and impulsiveness between the lines felt abnormal. It did not match the image of a man who had long been in a high position, nor the bearing of an angel. What exactly happened on the moon that made him lose composure like this, become so emotional?

And what did this have to do with the five who conceived under the moon?

Wait... if I boldly assume... could it be that those five infant girls were mystically linked to him, or perhaps were even children he had with some existence on the moon after he landed there?

But such a method of birth is horrifying...

Then, who was that existence on the moon? Was it the "Primordial Moon" that Lilith destroyed?

If this assumption holds... then the following events can be reasonably "deduced."

Such "spawn of an evil god" would naturally be destroyed if discovered by the orthodox Churches. And Roselle clearly thought of this. Whether it was due to the influence of some being, or genuine "familial affection," he chose to protect the five girls who were born more than twenty years ago, that is, between 1325 and 1327.

Later, Roselle most likely took the "God's Coffer" from the Book of Calamity, and even hid the soul of the Queen of Calamity, Coshinam, for another arrangement.

Or rather, to protect her?

Of course, given how contradictory Roselle's actions were in his later years, his arrangements were often exploited by other existences... and knowing this, he most likely left additional clues, so that those with insight might discover them and patch the flaws in his plan...

Perhaps the act of leaving the empty "God's Coffer" to Miss Magician was precisely the result of such circumstances.

As for those five infant girls... nine out of ten, they were the five survivors of that experiment eleven years ago.

The faction—or factions—that organized that experiment must have gathered many suitable young girls who were born under a blood moon, with incomplete records of their births, and used them in the experiment... or rather, in the ritual Roselle designed for those five girls.

The goal was actually to use other "Source Qualities" to balance the influence of that lunar existence, preventing it from descending or carrying out other schemes, right?

No wonder only those five survived...

Among them, "Pale Admiral" Maria was the most special... Roselle must have foreseen something about her, and thus prepared the weapon "Pale Justice" in advance, to let her control the "contamination"...

As for the "Devil" characteristic sealed within her... I don't know what special significance it has... Was it simply to make "Pale Justice" balance the "contamination" better? Or was there another calculation?

What is certain is that behind the "Pale Admiral" are the shadows of the Secret Order and that adopted son of Roselle, Yaldabaoth... They were most likely among the organizers of that experiment.

Besides them, the faction under the "Mother Tree of Desire" must also have participated... It seemed Roselle was exploiting the grudge between Her and that lunar existence.

Finally... what exactly did "Source Quality" mean? Was it equivalent to a true god? Why did Roselle have to use "Source Quality" to balance the pollution of these evil gods?

Didn't he trust the orthodox deities? But then why not rely on, or design, something using the "Primordial Witch," the "True Creator," or other evil gods?

Hmm... after the Tarot Gathering ends, I'll show this page of the diary to Ebner. He knows more about the five survivors, and maybe he can infer more useful information.

Sigh, Roselle really was capable of making a mess in his later years...

But I can't shake the feeling that this matter is also tied to Liu Bo!

One thought after another flashed by. Klein wasted no time, made the two pages of the diary vanish, and smilingly looked at Miss Justice, while tapping the edge of the ancient long table with his fingers to shield the senses of the others.

About half a minute later, "The Fool" Klein, having memorized a professor's name and address, lifted the shielding. He then leaned back in his chair, swept his gaze around, and said:

"You may begin."

After a brief silence, "Magician" Fors spoke before "Justice" Audrey, straightening her back and glancing around as she said:

"Everyone, I'd like to purchase two mystical items: one for offense, one for defense. Do you have any recommendations?"

Because the film Roselle Gustav was selling explosively, Fors, as its main screenwriter, had just received a huge dividend.

Just yesterday, she had as much as 1,500 pounds transferred into her account. This instantly gave her confidence, and the urge to buy mystical items.

—This had always been Fors's desire, but each time before, poverty had curbed her ambitions.

Currently, although she had the "Marionette" and the Ring of Light—two items borrowed from Ebner for self-defense—she would eventually have to return them.

Especially the Ring of Light; Fors didn't even dare to wear it often, or she would become a devout believer of the Church of the Eternal Blazing Sun.

As for the other one, the "Marionette," she liked it very much as a control-type mystical item, and planned to discuss purchasing it from Ebner after returning to Backlund.

At this moment, Fors's gaze mainly settled on the "Tower," the "World," and the "Hermit," since their connections were much broader.

Ebner looked at Fors on the opposite side, his face expressionless, but his thoughts turning strange: According to the original development, Fors will get the Abraham family's "Lemano's Travel Notes" in just a few days!

With that notebook capable of recording extraordinary abilities, Fors could be both offensive and defensive... so why spend this extra money now?

Wouldn't she regret it so much she'd want to bang her head against the wall then?

Mm, I really want to see that expression on her face!

At that thought, Ebner's lips curved slightly, his mood inexplicably lightened. After obtaining permission from Mr. Fool, he projected a series of images of mystical items.

Tired, that's enough for now.
