I remember Mr. Tower once said that the "Night Emperor" became Sequence 0 of the Arbiter pathway with the support of the Six Gods...
So, is "Hand of Order" the name of Sequence 1 in that pathway?
Did they hunt down the archangel of the Tamara family in order to become a god, and as a result, incur Liu Bo's hatred?
Heh, Liu Bo really did fly into a rage for a beauty!
Hmm, it seems that every time he transmigrated, he managed to retain his humanity quite well… aside from the "Calamity Seals," of course… Then again, this might just be because the "Hunter" pathway has the nature of a "Conspirator" — it's simply in their blood.
While analyzing in his mind, Klein continued reading the contents below:
"After Mr. Door finished explaining why Rhine Kalendia chose to swear loyalty to Solomon, he stubbornly refused to speak any further about that vampire duke... Hah, his usual trick again, trying to whet my appetite? Not a chance! "If he won't say more, I can still go ask Hermes, or even Zaratul! Although the latter hasn't contacted me in a long time, almost like he's disappeared…"
So, Roselle… your real intention was just to find out who Liu Bo's female friends were? Whether they were really that high-quality, huh? Your Majesty... can you be a little more dignified? Is that really more interesting than everything else?
Do you really want to save face that badly?
After mentally complaining for a bit, Klein focused on the final sentence and mused:
This is the second time I've seen the Emperor mention Zaratul's disappearance in his diary... Where exactly did he go? Did he go straight to the Land of Night after reading the Antigonus family's notes?
After thinking for a few seconds, he returned his gaze to the parchment in his hand and turned to the remaining diary pages provided by Miss Justice.
The second and third pages still recorded conversations between Roselle and Mr. Door, but it was clear they were from a different time than the first — seemingly earlier.
Most of the information about the Fourth Epoch's angelic families was something Klein had already heard from Mr. Tower. Only the part about the ownership of the "Moon" authority gave him pause.
"The 'Moon' has no owner? Then what about Lilith? Judging from the things involving Liu Bo, she likely didn't perish in the Second Epoch... However, considering how she only occasionally responds to the vampires, her current condition might not be very good.
"And what about the Primordial Moon? Even today, people still believe in her and receive responses! The corruption on the Emperor may even be linked to her! Is she not the master of the 'Moon' either?
"As for the Goddess, it does seem as Mr. Door said — she likely only represents the 'Stars'...
"Maybe… Lilith really did fall once during the Second Epoch and lost part of her authority as a result… such as the traits of Sequence 1… or perhaps even her uniqueness?
"It's a strong possibility!"
Klein lowered his gaze and flipped to the fourth page of the diary — also the last one submitted by Miss Justice.
He quickly skimmed over the earlier parts mentioning Bernadette massaging the Emperor's back, and how Florent of the Sauron family seemed like a completely different person after becoming a demigod. These either weren't important or were things he already knew.
It wasn't until the end of the page that he paused again:
"June 5th. I obtained an ancient tome — to my surprise, it actually mentioned the name of the 'Primordial Demoness' — and not in the form of a reverential title!
"She was called 'Cheek', and that's a man's name.
"Is this tome fake?"
Chick? Could it be that, just like Mr. Tower once said, the "Primordial Demoness" was originally a man?
Klein nearly raised his hand to pinch his chin.
If that's the case, then perhaps pure females might face unique difficulties when walking the "Assassin" pathway… Is that why the Witch Sect only selects males who have transformed into "witches" to cultivate?
That "follower" of mine does fit the conditions quite well… but with his—no, with her personality, just reaching Sequence 7 might already be her limit…
It's hard to imagine her playing the role of a "witch" who brings disaster and pain to others!
As these thoughts flashed through his mind, Klein set aside Justice's diary and flipped through the two pages offered by Mr. Tower.
But he soon flipped them face-down on the desk, separating them from the previous four pages and making them vanish.
After all, those two pages were completely filled with the Emperor's many "praises" of a certain witch… The only useful part was that Klein learned the witch's name — Panatia.
Letting them vanish alongside valuable diary pages made Klein feel like he was contaminating the latter.
The diaries from Mr. Tower were as "consistent" in "quality" as always… With a silent jab, he smiled and said to Justice and the others:
"You may begin."
After that, he had the World speak in a hoarse voice to Miss Judgment: "I'm very satisfied with the task I entrusted you with… It even exceeded the payment I originally offered. As agreed, what kind of compensation would you like?"
Xio thought for a moment, then shook her head. "That piece of intel you gave me was already very rewarding. There's no need for extra compensation."
She didn't know that Ebner had requested help from an angel to block the curse from a Grade 0 Sealed Artifact. So she didn't think that either she or Ebner had paid a significant price.
As for the intel about Baron Larry, Her Highness Vera had rewarded her most generously.
Not only did she recommend her for a judge position within MI9's "Court of Extraordinary Affairs," but she also personally gave her a reward of 5,000 pounds.
—The Court of Extraordinary Affairs was a court specifically tasked with handling Beyonder-related cases, making it the ideal role for someone on the "Judge" pathway.
As for the favor she owed Ebner, that was a private matter between the two of them and wouldn't involve outsiders.
The World carefully observed the emotional colors on Miss Judgment and found that she genuinely believed the trade had been fair. Only then did he nod and say, "Very well… But I'll still give you an extra piece of information. You might find it interesting."
"What information?" Xio asked curiously.
Since it didn't involve a transaction, and was free knowledge, there was no reason to refuse it.
"'Desire Apostle' Jason Beria most likely has another accomplice — someone close to Duke Negan, probably with blond hair," the World said in a deep voice.
This came from the Church of Steam's Grade 2 Sealed Artifact, the silver mirror named "Arrodes," which had suddenly appeared in his dream last night and revealed this piece of information...
That blonde individual wasn't just involved with demons, but was also monitoring Miss Justice's bank accounts...
If the members of the Tarot Club hadn't activated the "Fog Logistics" system early on under Mr. Tower's suggestion, many of them might've already fallen into that person's trap!
Such a person must be reported without hesitation!
