Chapter 42 - Extra Chapter

Treat this as a prologue for Gohan's Adventures.

It was quiet.

Not the eerie calm before a storm—but the warm, life-affirming stillness of peace. For the first time in decades, Earth was truly at ease. The skies were clear, the cities rebuilt, and the shadow of apocalypse had finally faded. The Z Fighters—warriors who had once battled gods, tyrants, and monsters—now lived lives they had long been denied.

But peace didn't mean stillness.

It meant… breathing again.

Goku's Home – Mount Paozu

The morning mist danced above the trees as birds sang their greetings to the sun. Deep within the woods, a small home sat, simple and serene. Inside, laughter echoed.

Goku was sitting cross-legged on the floor, meditating.

A moment later, a toddler with untamed black hair launched into his lap—Goten.

"Dad! Dad! I did the Kamekameha you showed me!"

Goku chuckled, catching the boy easily and ruffling his hair.

"You're really getting it, huh? That's my boy."

Chichi, now calmer and softer, watched them from the kitchen. She trained less often these days but still kept her strength sharp—enough to keep both her boys humble at dinner time.

Gohan, now a teenager, was studying at the table—eyes moving across textbooks with ease, but his aura strong, stable. He trained regularly with his father and Piccolo, though his mother's insistence on education kept him from fully dedicating himself.

Still, when the wind shifted, and danger returned, Gohan would be ready.

Capsule Corp – West City

Bulma was busier than ever—researching, innovating, expanding Capsule Corp's reach around the world. But her attention was often drawn away… by the tiny prince in the nursery.

Trunks Briefs, born not long after the Cell Games, had inherited his father's piercing eyes and fierce energy. Even as a baby, his Ki shimmered with promise.

Vegeta stood often at the door, arms folded, watching his son without saying much. But Bulma knew—behind that quiet exterior, he was proud.

Though Vegeta had mellowed slightly, he trained relentlessly. He pushed himself harder than ever—not to surpass Goku anymore, but for something deeper.

"I will protect what is mine." he whispered during nightly training.

Raditz occasionally trained with Vegeta, sometimes alone. The brothers in arms never talked much, but there was an understanding now. A respect forged in shared pain and survival.

Nappa, older and wiser, found joy in watching over the toddler Trunks. He'd become an unofficial uncle to the boy, often boasting that the "little brat" was destined for greatness.

Kami's Lookout

Piccolo stood in silence at the edge of the lookout. Arms crossed, cloak blowing gently in the wind.

He meditated daily, watching the world below.

Though he rarely left the sanctuary, he trained with Gohan and occasionally with the others when asked. The fusion with Kami had brought him not only immense power but also a deeper sense of purpose.

"Peace must be maintained. Not just won."

Dende, now Guardian of Earth, often discussed with him ways to maintain balance—not only through strength but wisdom.

The Z Fighters

Tien had returned to the mountains, training in solitude. Tien's focus never wavered. He knew threats could rise again. And he'd be ready.

Emperor Chiaotzu started to expand Mifan, conquering lands that were uninhabited due to dinosaurs present. With a collaboration with Capsule Corp, they created a Park(Sanctuary) that was home to this incredible creatures. He had hired 16 and 17 as the guards for this Island Sanctuary.

Krillin had settled down with 18 in a modest home near the coast. They now have a daughter named Marron the same age as Goten and Trunks. He still trained with Goku and the gang, but mostly spent his Time in West City as one of their Elite Police.

Yamcha—now a baseball legend—juggled fame with quiet training. Though he didn't chase strength like the Saiyans, he never let himself grow dull.

Master Roshi still trained the occasional student… and kept up with martial arts gossip.

And when things got too quiet, they'd all meet at Capsule Corp or Goku's place for a few friendly sparring matches, sharing food, laughter, and stories of past battles.

Despite the peace, the Saiyans never lost their edge.

Goten and Trunks—though still toddlers—showed signs of incredible potential. Their energy flickered like wildfire. Playful. Boundless.

Goku would no longer disappear into the mountains for days, or weeks, instead he stayed home and cared for Goten, Gohan, and Chichi. He goes on Dates/Picnics with Chichi, trains Goten with the basics, while pushing Gohan to new heights all before dinner time.

Vegeta trained daily in Capsule Corp's gravity chamber—refusing to grow complacent. But on quite days, he would go out shopping with Bulma or spend his time with Trunks, training the boy as the next Saiyan Prince.

Raditz and Nappa were head of security for Capsule Corp, but sometimes teamed up to explore distant uninhabited islands for extreme training grounds.

Seven years had passed since the climactic battle with Cell. The Earth was at peace. Cities had grown, families had blossomed, and time had finally given the warriors a moment to breathe. But not all battles were fought with fists and energy beams…

Some… were fought with backpacks and books.
