At midnight, in a silent street. There sat a girl, who was around 14 or 15 years, crying endlessly while holding her mother's hand, who was trying to hold her last breath. The mother was like an angel, even though her face was pale due to excess bloodloss.
"Mom, please don't leave me alone. Please mom, please..."
"My dear, please...don't cry...now you have to...take care of yourself...you are my daughter ...right...you have to...make me feel ...proud..."
"Mom please try to be conscious...I...I...I will try to get help."
"It's already late...I...can't hold...it anymore..."saying this she closed her eyes and her body became cold.
The girl cried a lot, but no one was there to wipe her tears. Her only family had left her alone in this cold and brutal world.
5 months later
A girl was collecting bottles from the garbage. She was wearing ragged clothes, her hair was messy. There was gloomy expression on her face. She looked weak, but still was working as it was the only way for her to get some food.
As she was collecting the garbage, someone rushed and knocked into her. Because of which she fell on the ground. But that man didn't bothered and ran away.
As she was about to stand, she heard a voice, "Stop that man! He snatched my briefcase." She stood up and ran behind the thief. He had not ran too far. She picked up a brick and aimed it towards his leg. The brick directly hit on his leg and the thief fell down.
The owner of the briefcase came to them with some men following him. These men caught the thief to bring him to the cops. The owner stayed stayed there with the girl. After they were gone , he asked the girl ," Please ask anything in return as a thank. The thing you saved is really important."
" Can you give me some job?"
The man was stunned by her answer. Normally people will either be asking for money or ask nothing. Even if anyone asks for a job, they would be some adult, not a child like her.
"Why did you asked for a job?Why not money?"
" It's against my principles to take money without hardwork."
"But the money I'm offering is for the hardwork you did by catching the thief. "
" But that's not a work, that's the duty of any human being to help others. "
Impressed by her words, he told her, " I have a job for you, but that is not easy. It can be frightening and also can be life risking. Are you willing to do."
The girl looked down and after some thought, she said, " Okay, I am willing to do."
"So come with me. Now you have to leave your past life ,even your name behind. From now you will start a new life and will have a new identity."
Saying this, the man walks towards his path and the girl following him.
