"Shan Shan, this is Dr. Xie, and this is Doctor Wei," Liu Huaiyu introduced the two new young doctor assistants to the child.
To Shan Shan, the doctor brother and sister weren't unfamiliar faces, and her eyes which were filled with suspicion softened a bit.
"Have you decided if you want the doctors to help you with the surgery?" Liu Huaiyu bent down, once again seeking the child's opinion earnestly.
The words that Shan Shan hadn't seen her sister and wouldn't undergo surgery got stuck in her throat. It seemed like the trick she used yesterday had no effect, leaving her little head bewildered.
The doctors could see the anxiety and unease in the child's heart.
Standing behind the teacher, Student Wei scratched his head, unsure of what to say to the child, afraid that anything he said might hurt the little one's feelings.
