"You mean to say that your sister is not angry with you even though you asked her to buy hairpins for you?" Li Hu Zi asked in a voice which was filled with admiration.
His mother had never bought anything for him and in case he asked for something, she would scold him furiously instead of buying anything for him.
After learning his lesson Li Hu Zi and his brothers stopped asking for anything. At least as long as they stayed quiet they did not have to worry about being scolded or being called money-losing goods.
And yet Yu Mai despite being a mer could easily ask for anything from his sister without worrying about anything. He was really too courageous!
"Why will she be angry? My sister brings me a hairpin every time she goes to the town," stated Yu Mai as he placed the wooden horse on the floor and then started playing with it. "She knows that I like hairpins a lot so she buys them for me. And I only asked for two, my third brother-in-law asked for five one time."
