"Knock knock—"
Just then, two knocks came from outside the door.
"Miss, the master and madam request to see you this afternoon."
The butler's voice came from outside the door. Gu Ningyue looked at the photograph in her hand and said, "Understood, I'll be out shortly."
"Yes."
The sound of the butler descending the staircase followed, and Gu Ningyue packed up everything she had just retrieved, reset the combination lock, and carried the suitcase downstairs.
Gu Zheng glanced at the suitcase in Gu Ningyue's hand and was slightly startled, as if he wanted to say something but was cut off by Gu Ningyue: "I organized some of mom's belongings. When I miss her, I can still look at them."
Gu Zheng nodded, "I remember this suitcase being lost for quite some time, Ning Yue, where did you find it?"
Gu Ningyue looked at Gu Zheng and said, "Right under the bed, filled with some of mom's clothes and a dress she made for me when I was little. Dad, would you like to see it?"
