It was close to eleven at night, and Gu Ningyue was leaning against the chair, her head nodding intermittently, almost falling asleep.
But when she heard that faint call, Gu Ningyue immediately became alert.
"Awake?"
Lin Ruixian's fingers moved slightly as he looked at her weakly, "I thought I'd never see you again."
He rarely had moments like this; his jade-like face looked even more pitiful under the hospital's incandescent lights.
Gu Ningyue couldn't help feeling a bit heartbroken and stood up, first calling a nurse to hang up the IV before returning to his side, "Hungry? I bought some porridge, but it's already cold. Should I heat it up for you?"
Lin Ruixian shook his head, "Not hungry."
Gu Ningyue poured a cup of hot water, blew it cool, and handed it to his lips, "Then drink some water! Don't drink too much, or going to the bathroom later might be troublesome."
