The city lights streaked past the windows as Cheung Qi's black SUV glided through the evening traffic.
Inside the vehicle, silence lingered.
Hei Bao sat in the front passenger seat with the window lowered halfway.
The cool night breeze brushed against his face as he rested one arm on the window frame, his fingers absently tapping against the door.
His gaze remained fixed on the passing streets, though it was obvious his mind was elsewhere.
Cheung Qi spared him a brief glance before returning his attention to the road.
"You can tell me what's wrong now."
No response.
Hei Bao remained as silent as the night outside, as though the question had never reached his ears.
Cheung Qi wasn't surprised.
If Hei Bao answered immediately, that would have been far more shocking. His elder cousin had always been the type to carry every burden alone, speaking only when he had already reached his limit.
After another minute of silence, Cheung Qi sighed.
