The wine Young Master Jun had brewed this time was truly something else, so strong that the foreshot alone was more alcoholic than pure alcohol itself.

And the proof of its sheer potency was the thunderous snoring echoed across Jun Mo Xie's small courtyard.

All seven of the Dugu brothers lay sprawled across the ground in various twisted and unflattering positions, looking more like war casualties than noble warriors. Their faces were flushed red, and an overpowering stench of liquor filled the air.

One of them, Dugu Ying, was still whistling in his sleep, his lips twitching like a happy drunkard lost in a dream.

Whoot whoot...

"Whoot your fucking head!"

Jun Mo Xie, who was already vexed by the incessant noise, finally lost his patience. He let loose a flying kick straight into Dugu Ying's rear.

BAM!

A muffled oof followed as Dugu Ying was sent rolling like a fat dumpling.

"I dare you to fart out another whistle!" Jun Mo Xie snapped.

The whistling stopped immediately.

"Great wine…"

But despite getting flipped over, Dugu Ying merely mumbled before slipping back into unconsciousness.

Jun Mo Xie clicked his tongue, shaking his head at the mess before him.

"These muscle-headed fools had come with such bravado, yet look at them now. Some warriors they turned out to be," He muttered, sitting back lazily and enjoying the sight of his 'guests.'

Suddenly, a sharp whistling sound tore through the sky. A blue meteor shot across the heavens before landing directly in the courtyard.

BOOM!

The dust and debris flew everywhere, obscuring the view for a moment.

When the dust settled, an old yet imposing figure stood tall amidst the chaos.

Jun Zhan Tian had arrived!

The old war veteran's brows furrowed as he surveyed the scene. He had been prepared for the worst, his grandson captured, beaten, humiliated, possibly even hanging from a tree while the Dugu brothers jeered. He had already steeled himself to go on a rampage, even planning how he would crush Dugu Zongheng in retaliation.

Yet, what was this?

His grandson, Jun Mo Xie, sat there looking completely at ease, even relaxed. Meanwhile, the infamous seven Dugu brothers, renowned for their ferocity and martial prowess, were scattered across the ground like a bunch of drunken beggars!

One was hugging a wine jar like it was his lover. Another had his face buried in the dirt. A third was giggling in his sleep, drooling like an idiot.

Jun Zhan Tian blinked and he rubbed his eyes.

Am I hallucinating?

He coughed lightly and turned to Jun Mo Xie. "Mo Xie, did you… do this?"

Jun Mo Xie took a sip of tea, smirking. "Grandpa, I swear, they did this to themselves. I merely offered them some of my finest wine. They insisted on drinking like heroes… and now, well…"

He gestured lazily at the fallen warriors.

Jun Zhan Tian's lips twitched.

'Offered some wine?'

'These seven brutes stormed in to capture you, and instead, they ended up drinking themselves unconscious.'

'Isn't this too surreal?'

The old man stroked his beard thoughtfully before bursting into laughter. "Hahahaha! Good! Good! These damn Dugu pups have always been too full of themselves. Serves them right!"

With that, he clasped his hands behind his back and leisurely strolled out of the courtyard, his mood lifted.

"Well done, my grandson. Carry on."

Jun Mo Xie chuckled as his grandfather vanished from sight.

Meanwhile, at the Dugu Family Residence…

Dugu Zongheng and his son, Dugu Wudi, had been growing increasingly restless.

They had an exchange with Jun Zhan Tian at the palace, where the old Dugu proudly declared that he had sent his seven grandsons to teach Jun Mo Xie a lesson.

But now, they had been filled with deep regret.

Had they been too rash?

If they had first spoken with Jun Zhan Tian instead of acting on impulse, perhaps the situation wouldn't have escalated to this point.

They both knew that the Jun Family, on paper, was weaker than the Dugu Family. But there was one undeniable truth: Jun Zhan Tian had nothing left to lose. If a blood feud were to start, the consequences would be catastrophic.

And now, after waiting the entire day, their grandsons had yet to return.

Dugu Zongheng paced back and forth, his face a thundercloud. "Why aren't those little brats back yet? They left in a rage. Don't tell me they actually crippled Jun Mo Xie! If they did and that old bastard Jun Zhan Tian finds out…"

Dugu Wudi's eyes widened in alarm. "Father, if Jun Zhan Tian lost his mind and sought revenge—"

Just as he said that hurried footsteps echoed through the hall.

A bodyguard rushed in, panting. "Reporting to the master! Jun Mo Xie has sent a delivery!"

"Bring it forward!" Dugu Zongheng had a sense of foreboding. However, since Jun Mo Xie had sent this item, it meant that the youngster hadn't experienced any major mishap. Feeling slightly relieved, he spun around and sat down on a wooden fauteuil.

What Jun Mo Xie delivered was a very small bundle wrapped in cloth.

Dugu Zongheng lightly squeezed the package in his hand before his complexion rapidly changed, swinging his arm back and sweeping various items off the side table.

Inside the bundle were the hereditary jade pendants of the seven Dugu brothers, symbols of their identity and pride.

Along with it was a neatly written note:

"The seven Dugu brothers are staying as guests of my Jun Family. Since we're getting along so well, the brothers will return in two or three months. Senior Dugu and Great General Dugu, please do not worry."

For a moment, silence reigned, and then it was followed by a storm.

CRASH!

Dugu Zongheng swept an entire table of porcelain vases and teacups to the ground in fury. His chest heaved as his fingers trembled with rage.

"TRASH! USELESS TRASH!"

Unable to contain himself, he delivered a fierce flying kick straight into Dugu Wudi's backside.

BAM!

Dugu Wudi, caught completely off guard, yelped in pain as he tumbled across the floor.

"You raised these good-for-nothing monkeys!" Dugu Zongheng roared, his beard trembling in fury. "Seven against one! Seven against a single Jun brat! And yet, not only did they fail to capture him, but they got themselves taken as guests?! Their jade pendants were sent back as if they were some kidnapped maidens awaiting ransom!"

Dugu Wudi clutched his sore backside, inwardly cursing. You old fart, weren't you the one who raised them the most?

Dugu Zongheng gritted his teeth and barked, "WUDI! GET YOUR USELESS ASS OVER TO THE JUN FAMILY AND BRING THOSE IDIOTS BACK! I'M GOING TO SKIN THEM ALIVE!"

Dugu Wudi practically leaped to his feet, taking this as a chance to escape. "Yes, Father! Right away!"

He bolted out the door like an arrow, desperate to flee from his father's wrath.

Immediately, the sound of soldiers scrambling echoed through the Dugu household. Then, the thunderous gallop of a horse faded into the distance.

Dugu Zongheng sat back down heavily, his fingers still trembling as he clenched the jade pendants.

"Jun Mo Xie… you little bastard…" He gritted his teeth before bursting into laughter, half in rage, half in admiration.

"This brat… what a damn menace!"
