The pale-faced Ye Gu Han stood before Jun Mo Xie, his icy gaze sharp as a blade. His fingers trembled slightly, not from fear but from sheer, unbridled anger.
"Trash."
The word felt like poison on his tongue, but it left his lips with utter disdain.
"You are no different from filth! Normally, I don't even bother wasting my energy on insignificant insects like you, but today, you've overstepped. You're abominable! I will act on behalf of Grandpa Jun and teach you a lesson!"
The surrounding air turned cold as his intent solidified.
But Jun Mo Xie, no, the True God's soul within, stood unmoved. His gaze was indifferent, like an emperor overlooking an insignificant courtier.
The simmering rage in his chest had already made him irritable today, and Ye Gu Han's self-righteous act only added fuel to the fire.
His lips curled into a mocking smirk. "Hmph. You've barely cultivated up to the third level of the Emotion Severing Sword, and you think you're invincible?"
He took a step forward, his words venomous, his tone cutting deeper than any sword. "A man who couldn't even protect his woman has no right to act high and mighty before me."
BOOM!
Jun Mo Xie's words were like a thunderstrike, sending Ye Gu Han's body into an uncontrollable tremble.
His breath hitched. His pupils shrank.
Murong Xiu Xiu!
The name stabbed into his heart like a poisoned dagger.
Jun Mo Xie sneered, watching as the man before him faltered. "What's wrong? Hit a nerve?"
His voice was dripping with mockery as if deliberately rubbing salt into the wound. "If you have so much free time lecturing others, why don't you go back in time and save your beloved instead?"
Ye Gu Han clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his flesh, blood seeping through his fingers. His sword aura flickered, but he didn't move.
He couldn't move.
Jun Mo Xie didn't give him another glance. "A mere Sky Xuan-level fool dares to act arrogant before me?"
He snorted, turning on his heels and walking away.
Ye Gu Han remained rooted to the spot, his face pale, his entire body trembling, not from rage alone but from the sheer weight of emotions buried in his past.
Jun Mo Xie, unfazed by the chaos he left behind, made his way back to his bodyguards. He exhaled deeply, though his irritation hadn't faded. His patience was already thin thanks to the audacity of that foolish princess earlier.
'She really thought she had the right to teach me how to act? Hah!'
A wry smile crept onto his lips.
'Just when I think I've grasped the hearts of women, another foolish girl proves me wrong. Perhaps only the idiots who created foolish women like her can comprehend the whims of a woman's heart.'
With that thought, he returned home, entering the Jun estate like a shadow slipping into the night.
After returning to the estate, Jun Mo Xie didn't linger. Instead, he made his way to the library, left a clone behind, and executed Shadow Exchange, vanishing from sight in an instant.
When he reappeared, he stood in a beautifully adorned room, filled with luxurious furnishings. The air smelled faintly of exotic incense, tinged with a subtle, intoxicating floral scent. Silken curtains swayed lazily as a gentle breeze drifted through the open windows.
The room was worthy of a high-end brothel, but this was no mere place of pleasure.
This was her domain.
Sitting elegantly in the center of the room was a tall and breathtakingly beautiful woman, barely older than Jun Mo Xie.
Her deep, bewitching eyes glistened with mischief, and her full lips curved into an amused smirk. She was the embodiment of grace and seduction, her figure sculpted to perfection—an ample, proud bosom, a slender waistline, and long, perfectly toned legs.
The way she sat, one leg elegantly crossed over the other, radiated confidence and temptation.
As Jun Mo Xie materialized out of thin air, the young woman's smile widened.
"My, my…" She teased, a playful lilt in her voice. "Young Master Jun is still as eager as ever, appearing out of nowhere."
Her eyes gleamed as she added, "Are you perhaps hoping to catch me changing clothes?"
Jun Mo Xie nearly stumbled. He shot her a deadpan look. "Please don't slander me like that, Lady Chu."
She pouted, her delicate fingers twirling a strand of her silky dark hair. "Haven't we talked about this before, Young Master?"
Her voice softened, almost sultry. "Call me Yue'er… I love hearing it from your mouth."
Jun Mo Xie paused, scratching the back of his head. It wasn't that he didn't want to call her that... it was just… complicated.
Chu Yue'er was not just any woman.
Like Jun Mo Xie, she was from a powerful family of generals. She was once hailed as the 'Proud Phoenix of Yan'—the greatest beauty of her nation, a woman of both exceptional grace and martial prowess.
But all of that had crumbled in an instant.
During the war, her family, her country... her everything had been annihilated. And the ones responsible?
The Jun Family.
Jun Mo Xie's grandfather, Jun Zhan Tian.
His father and uncles were the greatest warriors of the Tianxiang Kingdom.
The same people who now stood at the peak of power had wiped out her entire existence.
A blood feud of the deepest hatred.
Two years ago, she had sought vengeance with an undying resolve. She had plotted against the Jun Family. She had allied with their enemies, sworn to bring them to ruin.
She had hated Jun Mo Xie.
And then, she met him, the meeting changing both of their lives... for better or worse, that was yet to be seen.
"You're spacing out, Young Master Jun."
Chu Yue'er's voice snapped him back to reality.
He exhaled. "It's just… I was thinking how complicated our relationship is."
Chu Yue'er smirked, leaning closer. "Oh? Complicated? Then should I simplify it for you?"
She reached out, her fingers lightly grazing his chest. Her scent was soft yet intoxicating as it drifted into his nose.
Jun Mo Xie arched a brow. "And how exactly do you plan to do that?"
She giggled. "Simple. You take responsibility."
Jun Mo Xie gave her a deadpan look. "For what?"
"For stealing my heart, of course." She winked.
His lips twitched. "You're truly a dangerous woman, Lady Chu."
She pouted again. "Yue'er."
He sighed. "Fine… Yue'er."
She beamed. "That's better."
As their eyes met, a spark of something dangerous and thrilling passed between them.
A woman who was once his greatest enemy now sat before him, smiling like a mischievous fox, enticing him into a game.
