Fei Li City
The grand halls of the Fei Li Imperial Palace buzzed with quiet tension. Servants hurried through the marble corridors, their footsteps barely audible as news from across the continent reached the royal court.
The fall of the Kalise and Bai Da Empires and the meteoric rise of the Heavenly Bow Empire had shaken the continent.
Inside the emperor's private chamber, Princess Cai Cai paced back and forth, her flowing silk gown swishing with each step. Her brother, the Emperor of the Fei Li Empire, sat at the head of a long table, a scroll unfurled before him.
Standing to his left was Ming Yu, the famed Fei Li God General, with a posture as rigid as his steel armor.
"This is no small matter, Cai Cai," The emperor said, his voice measured. His piercing gaze flicked up from the scroll to his sister. "The Heavenly Bow Empire has grown into a power that could rival even our own."
Cai Cai stopped pacing, her sharp eyes narrowing. "I never imagined that the Heavenly Bow Empire, which we supported as a buffer against Bai Da, would rise to this level in such a short time. Hah! Considering their relationship with Heaven and Earth Sect, I should have seen it coming... Their Sect Master, Jason, is no ordinary cultivator. He has the sharp mind of a ruler!"
Ming Yu crossed his arms, his tone grave. "The Heaven and Earth Sect isn't just aiding them—they are the force behind this expansion. Jason's power far exceeds even my imagination... To subdue more than three Heavenly Emperor experts from the Blood Red Hall and capture them alive… that speaks volumes about their strength."
The emperor leaned back in his chair, his expression contemplative. "What would you suggest, sister? Should we view this expansion as a threat?"
Cai Cai shook her head. "No, Brother. Jason has no interest in ruling nations directly; his goals likely extend far beyond territorial expansion. The Heavenly Bow Empire is his tool to bring stability to this region. If we sever ties now, we risk alienating them—and potentially facing their wrath."
Ming Yu nodded in agreement. "Princess Cai Cai is correct. Strategically, it is wiser to maintain a strong alliance. The Heavenly Bow Empire is indebted to us for our past support, but they no longer need it. We must shift from benefactors to equals in this relationship."
The emperor sighed. "Very well. Cai Cai, you will lead our efforts to strengthen ties with the Heavenly Bow Empire. Ming Yu, I want you to oversee our military readiness. We may seek peace, but we must remain vigilant."
Cai Cai's expression softened, and a small smile graced her lips. "I will do my best, Brother. Our bond with the Heaven and Earth Sect gives us a unique advantage... And Jason treats us well as seen by the trust, and I intend to keep it that way."
Ming Yu added, "If necessary, I will personally visit the Heavenly Bow Empire. Their Emperor Di Fengling owes much of his rise to us, and I will remind him of our shared history."
The emperor nodded. "Good. The Fei Li Empire will remain strong, not through fear, but through diplomacy and calculated alliances."

Far from the calculated discussions of the Fei Li Empire, the Blood Red Hall was a maelstrom of rage and shattered decorum.
In the grand hall of their headquarters, Hall Master Fen Tian's face was a mask of fury. The air around him crackled with oppressive energy as he paced, his robes billowing ominously.
Before him knelt several high-ranking elders, their heads bowed low. On his right stood Shen Mo, the Vice Hall Master, his expression a mix of caution and unease.
"Useless! All of you!" Fen Tian roared, his voice reverberating through the chamber. "Three of our Heavenly Emperors defeated and captured like common insects! And by whom? Some mere elders of the Heaven and Earth Sect!"
One of the elders dared to lift his head. "Master Fen Tian, we underestimated the Heaven and Earth Sect's power. The information we received suggested—"
"Silence!" Fen Tian bellowed, slamming his fist into the armrest of his throne. The impact sent a shockwave through the hall, shattering nearby vases and causing the elders to flinch.
Shen Mo stepped forward, his tone placating but firm. "Hall Master, this is indeed a setback, but it is not irreversible. We must first retrieve our people and reassess the situation. Reacting in anger will only lead to further losses."
Fen Tian's eyes blazed as he turned to Shen Mo. "You expect me to sit idly by while the Blood Red Hall is humiliated? Our reputation is at stake! If word spreads that we cannot protect our own, the other Saint Lands will mock us!"
"Master," Shen Mo said, his voice lowering to a near whisper, "...word has already spread. The Boundless Continent knows of our failure. What we do now will determine whether we reclaim our honor or lose it entirely."
Fen Tian clenched his fists, his knuckles whitening. "Then what do you propose, Shen Mo? Enlighten me."
"We must gather our strongest forces and demand the return of our experts. Simultaneously, we should send envoys to other Saint Lands, seeking to form a temporary alliance against the Heaven and Earth Sect."
Fen Tian scoffed. "Do you think the other Saint Lands will join us? They will see this as a chance to weaken us further."
Shen Mo's lips curved into a sly smile. "Perhaps. But if we frame it as a threat to all of us—a rogue sect disrupting the balance of power—they may reconsider. Even if they refuse, we will have bought time to prepare our next move."
The hall fell silent as Fen Tian mulled over Shen Mo's words. Finally, he let out a deep growl, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly.
"Fine. Send the envoys, but make it clear—we will not beg. As for the Heaven and Earth Sect, I want every piece of information we can gather on them. Their Sect Master, their disciples, their alliances—I want it all."
Shen Mo bowed slightly. "As you wish, Hall Master."
Fen Tian's gaze darkened. "And Shen Mo… inform the captives' families. Let them know the price of failure. I will not have weakness in my hall."
"Yes, Master." Shen Mo's voice was calm, but his eyes flickered with unease.

Across the continent, the news of the Heavenly Bow Empire's rise and the Blood Red Hall's humiliation sparked a wave of speculation and intrigue.
Merchant caravans buzzed with tales of Jason's power, while smaller kingdoms debated whether to seek alliances or fortify their defenses.
In one of the bustling marketplaces of the Fei Li Empire, a trader from the Heavenly Bow Empire proudly displayed the empire's new flag.
"The rise of the Heavenly Bow Empire is only the beginning," He boasted to a crowd. "With Sect Master Jason behind us, no force in the continent can stand in our way!"
In response, a traveler from the far country sneered. "You speak boldly, but you forget—Saint Lands do not fall so easily. Your empire's arrogance will be its downfall."
The two men glared at each other, the tension between them mirroring the larger conflict brewing across the Boundless Continent.
As the continent braced for the next wave of upheaval, two forces stood at the center of it all: the newly empowered Heavenly Bow Empire and the vengeful Blood Red Hall.
